This sport was carried to the spot light by exciting fights, not by boring no action fights where fighters are just trying not to get hit. Go watch some old fights! Watch Arguello vs Pryor, bowe/hollyfield, tyson fights, delahoya fights, mosley fights, trinidad fights, vargas fights, chavez fights, sugar ray, hearns and so on and so on. Boxing strived when there was wars in the ring by great boxers. It was the science, the skill, the straight punching, the angles, the counters in these back and forth exchanges that were fascinating to watch and put boxing on top of the world.
idk how much of a baseball fan u are but i made a comparision with the 2 spports. do u agree???

Look at the fights when Tyson had to go past the 5th round, it was like night and day, all of tyson's skills were between the 1st to 4th round, after that you're chances went up.

If you watch most of Pac's power punches he has his head down, look at the punch when he hit Hatton, where's Pac looking? down.

The thing is that most people would rather watch to guys throw unlimited punches at each other hoping one punch connects than watching a man outbox another man with pure tecnuiqe.
Yes, Pacquiao's head is down when he throw his hard punch but not before he launches it. You are saying as if pacquiao doesnt know where it's going to land. the punch that hit hatton was a set up and he knew that it would land.

Which fighter are you actually suffering that throws unlimited punches who hopes that one of the punch will land? I understand that you like pure boxer but you have NO RIGHT to discredit brawlers.

Both style can conquer any division so your argument is voided right from the start. Those brawlers who became world champion didn't win the title because of luck and that's all I am trying to say. There are skills behind it.

It is called style for a reason. If being pure boxer is superior to the other style then ever boxer would adopt the style.

        Get it?

If you are going to argue further then please prove me that pacquaio (brawler doesn't have skills when he was fighting lower weight class.)

How can you even compare that to calderon?? Did you see floyd vs castillo? floyd vs gatti? floyd vs hatton? Floyd>>>>>Calderon it's not even close. Also how many weight classes has calderon climbed??
How can you say that Floyd is a lot faster, smoother or more athletic than Calderon when Calderon throws combinations that the other fighter doesn't see coming while Floyd throws just one punch,. How can you say Calderon is boring but say Floyd is exciting when as you mention Floyd is more perfect in your opinion and perfection usually bores people, and also have you seen how Calderon has been dropped? He has been dropped 3 times and almost all times was because he was caught of balance. Let me ask you this Calderon is 5'0 tall and not a very wide frame, Floyd is 5'8 and has a wide frame, you cannot expect Calderon to climb weightclasses like Floyd because of his size. and I have seen Floyd vs. Castillo, Gatti and Hatton and they weren't wars Floyd schooled them except for Castillo which was a close fight similar to Cazares vs. Calderon.

I gave you those fights as examples of floyd fights where he punishes you. Calderon not so much Calderon 6ko's floyd i think 25. Floyd is more defensive NOW but still shows how brilliant his offense is. Plus floyd at 130 and 135 was a ***en beast that calderon doesn't even come close to comparing to.
