he didnot LET the commission do the job. he try to influence their job.

you do not understand the difference

what did manny know about what happen in the mosley fight or cotto fight? did manny ever fight margrito or train with him? so manny only knows that he wanted to make the money so he ask the commission to give a license.

when you are outsider who is not involve and you get involve you are not letting them do their job. you are trying to influence to do what you need.

i believe it was arum who said that marquez did not look good at welter but guess what that was against floyd. and margrito did not look good at 154 and that was against garcia.

so who deserve the fight more - marquez or margrito

if manny could push for a margrito fight he cant push for a marquez fight? you dont say that is hypocrite?

But how is that being hypocritical? When it came down to it, the members of the commission are the ones who decide whether they would grant Margarito a license. From what I understand, Pacquiao went to the Nevada commission to try and get them to give Margarito a license, they decided not to give him one. Again from what I know, Pacquiao has not got to the Texas commission and urged them to give Margarito a license there. What you're describing isn't hypocrisy, it's greed. And yes, Pacquiao is pretty greedy, that's pretty well known with him asking for more money against DLH, then demanding bigger pieces of the purse against Hatton and Cotto but it's not hypocrisy. He let the commission decide whether to give Margarito a license.

Again, with Marquez, he never said Marquez had to prove himself at welterweight so how is it hypocritical? Do you remember the time when Marquez said he wanted a 50-50 split and random drug testing against Pacquiao for a third fight?

here i what i see as hypocritical. i will try to put it clearly.

manny says that boxers should allow the commission to do the job.
then manny wants something for his own benefit.
he has no information of knowlege to add
he uses his power in the sport to try to influence the commission.

that is not letting commission do the job. that is not doing what you said before. that is trying to get them to CHANGE to do what YOU want.

if a congressman calls the department of labor to get his son a job is he letting them do the job or is he putting influence on them? that is a ethic violation and that is what iole said.

you do not agree. ok. we can move on.

Iole is entitled to his opinion.

Iole can even vote for another boxer as his PFP next month in Yahoo.

Margarito has served his 1 yr suspension, and Texas has given him license to fight.

Texas is has a lot of Mexican- Americans so, the fight could attract fans.

i do remember that and shaefer said that was for negotition and manny can make another offer. that is how you make a deal right? one guy makees offer and the other guy makes another offer. right?

i dont have a problem with what marquez did but if he did not move from 50/50 then i would have a BIG problem because manny brings more money than marquez.

Yeah, we can agree to disagree.

But the thing about the congressman getting a job for his son doesn't make much sense in this context IMO, he's exerting his power in a way that is wrong.

Pacquiao going to the commission was basically just to talk to them and try to persuade them to grant Margarito a license, it was a situation where he basically has no control over.

you dont think manny has power in nevada.

they are all about money and manny bring the second most money.

when they went to commission koncz told them you will lose tourist and money.

its ok. i respect your view.

Well it wasn't the first time Marquez or Beristain has made ridiculous financial demands and not budge on them and didn't Schaefer say that anytime Pacquiao negotiates with a GBP fighter he will be insisting on random blood testing? So why should Pacquiao negotiate with them when he was against it at the time?
