Not at all but the best time to make the fight when both were looked as the two best was after Floyd beat Hatton and Cotto beat Shane. So the fight should of happen sometime in 08 before the Marg fight.

So anything that happne in 05 or 06 really means nothing and doesn't prove anything how the fight would of went down in 08.

Mayweather never liked Cotto's timing and as a timing master, He knew He could win, but HE also new it wasn't going to be a cakewalk.
Unlike some say, Cotto has a hell of chin. He took bricks for 11 rounds and took a knee when HE couldn't see any more. He was never out of the fight so, NO. The statement is bias.
