First person out of his mouth was Floyd and when was it? Right after the Mosley fight just as everyone on here as been saying. I'm not making any bull**** up, you are just completely misinformed about everything and don't know **** about boxing. I can't wait to see what you're reply will be to this.
    That wasn't a call out

Try Hatton, after Hatton had beaten JLC.

Wow... the guy asks who you want to fight? Mayweater, Hatton, Margarito, DLH whoever wants me is basically his answer and thats not a call out. He just said whoever wants it come get it and May is the first one from his mouth. You guys are unbelievable, anything to not make Floyd look bad, anything.

That isn't Miguels thing though. Rarely does he call anyone out and is respectful to everyone. That is why everyone respects him because he acts like a man. Miguel is wealthy, he doesn't need to act like a child to get big fights or fight in front of large crowds.

It aint even about that, chill out dude. All he did was throw a lot of names, nothing serious. Compare that to the way Hatton called out Mayweather, or more recently, Bradley called out Pacquiao.

As the President of the World Boxing Council, Jose Sulaiman says he’ll support any credible fighter that Floyd Mayweather Jr, the WBC welterweight champion, decides to take on next, but his sporting preference would be Miguel Cotto.

Don Jose confirmed: “Mayweather is in a voluntary stage. As a boxing commissioner, I’ll tell you, whoever is of good quality that is rated, we’ll support. They (Cotto) are picking May or June (to return) because those are great months for boxing.

By Eric Thomas: In the latest boxing news, undefeated WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto (31-0, 25 KOs) has called out WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr (39-0, 25 KOs), saying to “stop making excuses” for not fighting him. As of now, Mayweather, 30, has a scheduled rematch with Oscar De La Hoya to take place on September 20th in Las Vegas. Depending on the outcome of the fight, it’s difficult to say when/if Mayweather will be interested in a bout with the unbeaten 27 year-old Cotto.

You're right about that, but at the end of the day, can we now say...now we know why Mayweather wanted Cotto to separate himself from Arum?

i seriously don't know if these people are real or are just plants that work for the mayweather camp(maybe only in their mind) cotto calls out floyd and they say "no that's not a call out" or they will say something ******ed like floyd punches harder than pac. their entire objective is to spin things so that floyd doesn't look like the puss-y he is. maybe they are just superfans who don't want to face reality.

is that why he retired instead of fighting cotto at the peak of his career?

I guess floyd doesn't actually have to beat anyone in the ring since he wins them all in fantasy fights.

Mayweather would've torn him up at 140 in 2005, and Arum knew it.

The fight would've been better in 2008 at 147. Neither side appeared very interested, and we didn't hear anything about serious negotiations (press conference boxing fans, save me your "call out" crap). So for that, both deserve blame, although I cut Cotto slack for what he did instead. In 2008-09, he fought Margarito, Clottey, and Pacquiao.
