Floyd isn't feather fisted, he's power is pretty deceiving BUT he doesn't have raw power, he isn't getting KO's in this point of his career because in his last couple of fights he's only been throwing 1-2 combinations, if he threw an accumulation of flurries he'll end up stopping some boxers at WW but he opts for the safe & smart route, simple.
Watch this and tell me if you think Cotto could have beat Floyd in 05/06

according to 99 percent of everyone in the world pac hits harder than floyd. then some random guy who got tuned up and embarrassed publicly by team pac comes out and says floyd is the harder puncher and you believe that. you only believe what you want to hear. you don't gather all the information then form an opinion. that's what intelligent people tend to do but you have your own system so kudos.Comment

As for Cotto vs Floyd if you think Cotto can't beat Floyd you know absolutely nothing about boxing. Cotto has not just beaten, but nearly KO/TKO every single guy who tries to outbox him, the only guy I can think of he didn't KO was Paulie and 'ole boys face look like it got hit by a 18 wheeler. Cotto eats anyone alive who tries to box with him because he uses his jab, its the reason DLH had early success against Floyd and its the reason Floyd never fought Cotto because he could lose. Even if they fought today I would favor Cotto over Floyd and all because Floyd retired when the fight should have been made. Floyd essentially admitted defeat so I'm just going by what his actions are stating.Comment

You got it b*tch.
First person out of his mouth was Floyd and when was it? Right after the Mosley fight just as everyone on here as been saying. I'm not making any bull**** up, you are just completely misinformed about everything and don't know **** about boxing. I can't wait to see what you're reply will be to this.Comment

I wish Cotto would have expressed the same interests in Mayweather as Hatton did. Doesn't matter though, I don't think Mayweather or Cotto were afraid of eachother, Cotto's resume speaks for itself. To me, Bob Arum would have killed that fight anyways.Comment

I don't think Mayweather could walk Miguel down though. Marg was the bigger man so it wasn't a surprise once he could take the punches that he could do that. As for Pac it wasn't until the knockdown that really hurt Miguel(once again the speed +power did it), was he able to start to do that. Mayweather just doesn't have the power to hurt Miguel and in return would not be able to walk down Miguel. He might bother Miguel and outclass him with speed but he wouldn't back him down or deter Miguel from chasing him the whole fight and trying to get up in that ass. Mayweather could win but he would be moving around the WHOLE fight. The difference is that Cotto would be able to take Floyd's punches. Floyd is not really known for power. You can argue that Floyd will dominate with his speed, but then again, Cotto was able to handle Judah's speed and power who is just as fast as Floyd, if not faster. So the real test would be Floyd's second to none defense. If these two faced back then, i would say Cotto would have a great chance against Floyd, now on the other hand, probably not. But i'll still put my money on Cotto only because he's one of my favorite fighters, the guy is a warrior and has no fear.Comment
