Why would Floyd go to the commission? If he really cared, that's the LAST place he would go. The commission excuse is lame. Do some of you guys think at all?

Can you imagine if Mark McGwire, Barry Bonds and Palmeiro said some **** like that? . We've got it all backwards. We really need the media to step up. It's disheartening.
I can dig it...Till then, I just sit back and see it all play out. Me and you have talked about this before Dazed...Is Manny on something? Most likely. Is it banned? Now that is the real question here.

People do have to realize that just cause you take something doesn't mean you are cheating, or using a banned substance. You used Bonds and others as examples, well like I have stated before, you have guys like TO, Shannon Shape, and a list of others who have never failed a test (and got randomed more than most)...Both of those guys stated that they take at least two or three powders, and at least 31 different pills a day...

Like I said, most top athlete's are on something...I would be ****** to think otherwise, but is it a banned substance is the question.

True that. I mean, I guess they can't even really do anything to Shane if they wanted to since THG wasn't illegal back then. Nobody even knew what it was lol. Man, don't even talk about the NFL. Juice City. And can you believe they have tougher testing than we do? That means our testing is uber ****ty . And muthaphukkas still get caught. That goes to show how bad the problem is in boxing. Bad. You're right about most top athletes using. Why wouldn't you? ****, the average bloke takes creatine.

He definitely isn't going to get it done going to the commissions. That's like going to the crooked cop for help. Just ******.

Folks, the testing we have today didn't start with the commission. It started with the highest paid athletes putting it in the contracts as a stipulation (sound familiar). And even then, it took the commission nearly TEN YEARS to start making it mandatory for championship fights. They are the last people you go to. All you need is for your opponent to agree. Thank god for the guys out in Denmark and Germany. And those who don't have a million excuses to avoid it here.

but still, it was the commissions that made it mandatory across the boards. so in the end, floyd has to go to the commissions if he wants to effect any change.

floyd can't do it by himself.

No, in the end the commission woke up. These fighters put their lives on the line. No one wants to wait another 20 years for the commission to get it right. They are irrelevant when BOTH fighters agree to do it.

Even that is a risk nowadays...Not just for heath reasons, but most companies now try and push the limits as far as they can with their product...Most creatine products (on the market, and can be bought at GNC) do include banned subtances. People really need to be careful of what they buy, and put into their bodys.

Me myself, cardio and ammino acids...That does the trick for me.

Back to the Sport: But yeah, this day and age, you just never know. That is why I used to tell people on this board, "you have no idea how many fighters Floyd fought that were on some ****...Probaly plenty"...

I do agree with you though, when Floyd is gone, I really don't see anyone else picking up that mantle...One or two may try, but won't stick to it.
