If no one buys Pacquiao-Margarito, and Pacquiao has to give in to the blood testing to make the fight we want, we'll have done our jobs, but I'm realistic and realize that will never happen.
The real issue is...which fighter will take that stand for HIS fights when Floyd retires? Because the issue may disappear with Floyd. Pacquiao is never submitting to the tests, you can forget that. Cotto isn't in a position to make those demands. Who??

I don't think Cotto will see a rematch ever. If a 145lb dehydrated, out of balance cornerless Cotto broke his right ear drum before running out of steem, it will not be easy at 154. Even it Pac wins, He will get his ass kicked.

Unfortunately, nobody. Every sport is fighting this right now, and it will be a long time before any of them make a dent. There aren't even tests for everything a fighter can take. The blood testing Floyd wants can't catch everything. Every day athletes can get new PEDs that the testers aren't even aware of yet.

If Floyd wants, he can make this an even bigger issue when he retires. He can make this his crusade. I doubt his intentions though, which is a completely different argument that I won't talk about in this thread, because it's not the point.

But if you are talking about the OST testing as the medium to give an answer, how did Shane and other athletes passed it? Pac has passed 11 NSAC tests which the official testing, even if Pac takes the "Mayweather tests" would haters really stop hating? This is just a matter of believing that Floyd Sr.'s word is infallible or not.
The problem is that Pac and all other boxers know exactly when they are going to be tested and they know what can be detected. The reason MOsley passed is because it was undetectable with the testing being done and the only reason anyone knows is because of teh Conte Kaos

I don't see him doing that. And I don't see the commissions getting involved. It all comes down to money. But someone's gonna start snitching. Actually they have but we just don't want to believe them

Well, I don't know about "all fans", but I do know they are demanding it around here. You can't go into a topic nowadays about Pac, without seeing the words "take the test Manny", or "0 cut offs"....

Once Manny is gone, the PED experts will follow shortly after...

Like the TS said, you, and maybe a handle full of other poeple truly care about the state of testing in the sport. The rest only care cause Floyd brought it up.

if floyd really gave a **** about the issue beyond the fight w/ pac, he'd go to the commission (all of them) and present a case about how rampant PEDs are in boxing and then demand the commissions to impost OST across the board. if floyd is hardcore about the issue, he'd go before congress with the issue. alas, floyd is too busy eating lobster while the IRS, the repo man, and this landlord are ****ing on his door looking for their money.

Well that's a message board. My concern is that, once Floyd is gone, what fighter will pick up the mantle? Only in boxing can guys like Roy Jones, Evander Holyfield and James Toney say, "**** the testing, this guy is just scared." Can you imagine if Mark McGwire, Barry Bonds and Palmeiro said some **** like that? . We've got it all backwards. We really need the media to step up. It's disheartening.
