Yep Floyd fans are worried that Pac will do a number on the almost middleweight Margarito so are getting the excuses in early that this is a nothing fight.
They should keep quiet then, and let boxing fans watch. At least Pac is putting his skills on display for his fans.

It's for a vacant title at a catchweight against a proven cheater who wasn't that good to begin with. It's not even the catchweight that bother me the most, it's because it's for a title. What has Pac or Marg done at 154 for this to be for a title? They have barely fought at 154. If Pac wins he will be a paper belt holder, he won't be a real world champion. Honestly I would give more credit to Pac if he fought someone like Dzinziruk or even Cornelius Bundrage, atleast those guys are real world champions and are real 154 fighters they have won their titles the proper way without catchweight or a vacant title. For Pacquiao and Margarito to fight for the vacant WBC title without actually accomplishing anything at that weightclass is ridicilous.

Yeah yeah
Its not as impressive as the 1st 7.
Sasakul
Ledwabba
Barrera
Marquez
Hatton
Were the TOP guys of the division
Cotto is well still Cotto and Diaz is a belt Holder
Lets just not consider this as a Title.
Margarito is almost 6 feet Pac is 5'6
Similar Age
so what the heck lets just enjoy who knows pac might get knocked out on this one.

If you would've told me 10 years ago,Manny Pacquiao would be going a title in an 8th division I wouldnt have believed you. Nobody, I repeat nobody has done it, not Ali,not SRR ,SRL,The Hitman(the real one lol)Duran or RJJ. De La Hoya is the closest with 6(ten titles tho!).
I dont really care for his opponent,Margarito but that has no bearing on Pac-Man putting himself in position to seize this illustrious opportunity. The naysayers say what has he done @ 154 to fight for a title? He can fight anyone else, why Margarito? I say all thats up for debate but whats not is, that Manny has conducted himself as the consumate professional and ambassador of our sport and has been rewarded as such. And the catchweight thing right? Well,as far as the catchweight goes, the limit for a jr. welterweight fight is 154 lbs, not the minimum. So if Margarito (really a 147lber) agrees then it is what it is. Dont hate the player hate the game.
today all that means nothing, and ppl are breaking these legends records without even taking on challenges. bcuz the boxing public is fine with the so called best fighting the 3-6th best fighter in any given division and cant tell when they are really ducking certain fighters. pacquiao has done alot of impressive thing in his career, but lets be honest. these 8 division titles are due to the lack of prestige held by paper titles, lack of ability by the ppl who hold them and clever matchmaking. its all bull****.
casamyor was great champion, the legitimate 135lb champion, campbell held three belts and had several big wins. pacquiao fights david diaz who had no buisness being world champion to begin with, ppl say "ohh its his first fight in the division" after which pac moves up even further having blatantly ducked casamayor and campbell. after that he takes on a washed up miguel cotto who only held a belt himself bcuz of the boxing politics, winning a belt by beating michael jennings? give me a break.. now hes doing the same thing at 154.
again im not saying pacquiao hasnt achieved alot or isnt a great fighter, but those 8 division titles are less impressive than armstrongs 3, hearns' 5 or durans 4 just to name a few. its not just the about greatness of pacquiao but the decline of boxing also, and its dissrespectful to the greats of the past to ignore that.
