I Love How People Are Downplaying Pac-Man Going For His Record 8th Division Title

WOW...just wow!

We are witnessing history in the making and all most can do is complain about it! If you would've told me 10 years ago,Manny Pacquiao would be going a title in an 8th division I wouldnt have believed you. Nobody, I repeat nobody has done it, not Ali,not SRR ,SRL,The Hitman(the real one lol)Duran or RJJ. De La Hoya is the closest with 6(ten titles tho!).
I dont really care for his opponent,Margarito but that has no bearing on Pac-Man putting himself in position to seize this illustrious opportunity. The naysayers say what has he done @ 154 to fight for a title? He can fight anyone else, why Margarito? I say all thats up for debate but whats not is, that Manny has conducted himself as the consumate professional and ambassador of our sport and has been rewarded as such. And the catchweight thing right? Well,as far as the catchweight goes, the limit for a jr. welterweight fight is 154 lbs, not the minimum. So if Margarito (really a 147lber) agrees then it is what it is. Dont hate the player hate the game.

I've written more on the subject (positively) than anyone as far as Pac and the titles goes. This is not getting hype because it's bogus. A dramatic catch against a fighter with NOTHING to merit a rating at 154 for a belt is a joke of the Donny LaLonde for two belts variety. This is worse than the soft Diaz belt; hollow history of the worst kind.

That he has incredible four lineals against the best of those four divisions can never be taken from. This 'eighth' is nonsense. Seriously...Margarito doesn't even merit an objective top ten rating in class right now.

Thats fine except for the fact that his last two title fights were at "catchweights" which takes away any credibility it had. He's essentially making the division even smaller by lowering the weight, ZERO points for that. Secondly, the guy he is fighting doesn't even have the title in his possession and even worse the last fight anybody actually saw his opponent in he was getting KTFO. Its a farce of a fight thus, the fact that he is going for his "8th" title is a farce.

That is a flat out lie. Period. His last two title fights were against Cotto at a catchweight of 145, before that it was Hatton at 140, 140 is the limit for that division. What is your justification for telling the lie you just told?

He should just fight K-9 instead, at least it wouldn't be for a made believe title that was just made especially for him. It would be against a defending champion, and would he really need the catch weight? Its K-9.

There are also like 100 belts in 17 different weight classes.
You can cheer him on and make believe he is breaking the same records the old school guys were but he really isnt.

It is amazing he can fight at this weight but He is fighting a career welterweight who is now at jr middle and only his 2nd bout since being caught cheating and taking a 1.5 yr layoff then looking less than impressive against a very unimpressive opponent. Hell fighting Cotto at 154 would be more legit but if really wants to "step into the record books" again he would fight a legit jr middle for a belt. It's somewhat an illusion ya dig?

True but my point is due to his outstanding achievements in boxing he is in this position. He make bob arum, the snctioning bodies, hbo,goldenboy, and whichever venue he fights in Money so thats how they repay him.
