The Super Six Boxing Classic has taken yet another blow as WBC super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler has withdrawn from his fight with Allan Green, scheduled to take place on September 25 in Denmark and televised by Showtime. Based on the reports in Denmark, Kessler is suffering from an eye injury that has affected his vision for the last few months. The Super 6 tournament has been a huge let down in my honest opinion. Things like this are hard to manage because of the nature of boxing, fighters are likely to get injured and what not. It's hard to ensure everyone stay healthy.

kessler pulling out is messed up but overall i think the super six has been great. i say put taylot back in with zero points, then have him and green going to war looking for a KO and a semi final pass. add that to ward-dirrell and abraham-froch and it will be a great last round with nothing but amazing fights. once the semi finals get there it will be even better.

Major blow. I guess this tourney is destined for failure. They can't really replace him at this point, and Green was going to be out anyway, so they should just make Ward-Dirrell and Abraham-Froch the beginning of the next round.

first taylor pulls out & now kessler.this tourney has been a huge let down.none of the fights were good so far,a few hometown decisions,& now one belt isnt involved anymore(kesslers wba title).they might as well drop green from the tourney & make the other 2 fights the semi-finals.with the finals in the new year.winner gets kessler in the summer of 2011.

Out with Green as well and then cancel remainder of the group fights to let the other 4 guys go to semifinal without additional fights, we should therefore see the semi final fights already this year.
