The tournament was almost asking for the impossible from the get-go. Through injuries, to location dispute's.....it was never going to run so smooth. I feel bad for Mikkel, but i wish him a speedy recovery and a hopeful return in the new year.

    They may aswell make Froch/Abraham - Ward/Dirrell the semi-finals.

If the Froch/Abraham fight is for the vacant WBC...that will put both belts through to the final bout with the WBA going through Ward/Dirrell.

can he pull out? he's contractually obligated for a period of time meaning he cannot fight anyone else in that time frame right?

Since his promotor is Saurland who is also behind The Super Six, I don't think there's a problem there. They want him to fight one big fight, possibly against Bute, and then the winner of Super Six.

Kalle Saurland promised to get Ward in Denmark.

                Mornin Rome!
Yea, I'm curious about the Cotto thing. I mean, I know he had surgery and all, but hadn't he already had the surgery when they started talks about him fighting JCC jr? Why is it now (allegedly) a problem? Something tells me that if FMJ were to choose Cotto as his next opponent (which I personally doubt) he would mysteriously be ready to go.

Kessler said: "I have a few problems when I go down the stairs and when I close one eye, I don't see double. It means that I had to give up my big dream, but I am not throwing the towel in the ring."

Christian Meyer, the managing director of promoters Team Sauerland, said a medical check on Kessler in Germany on Tuesday "confirmed what was recorded by other specialists."

Meyer added: "The doctor confirmed that only a proper rest - so not much of a treatment - simply rest from boxing activity would lead to a full recovery."

Does he mean double vision when he closes one eye?

Wow this really sucks, I wish Kessler a fast recovery but other than Bute there could be no satisfactory replacement for him.

Exactly. It has been a good tournament. I don't know why people are so negative. This is the first major problem.
