I don't think it was because of that, I think he just really didn't have the desire to fight him again because he hated him too ****ing much and didn't like to put up with his ****. HBO of course pushed for the fight but Erik wanted a different challenge. To be fair that third match has to be MAB most brilliant performance of his career and all respect to him. It's funny how these dumbasses talk **** about Morales being shot at his late 20s early 30s but he ALWAYS had problems making weight, You can even hear the commentators talk about it in his fights and all the reports. Especially for the second Pac fight and third which where he wanted at least a catch weight but was forced to fight at 130 for the paycheck
