I think ito stops him late, too big and strong. He wont be able to take the shots like Winky did, and Hopkins barley got hit, but did at times, and Hopkins defense then was as good if not better than Mayweathers.
7-5 or 8-4 decision by Mayweather. He wins a competive but clear decision. Too much movement for Trinidad. His defense is too good for a one handed fighter like Trindad and he'd time and hit Tito at will. Trinidad has a his height, overall size, and power going for him which will cause Mayweather to get on his bike for alot of the fight and cost him rounds in the process.
At the end of the day I believe Mayweather is far too skilled for Trinidad. Just my two cents though. Style wise the fight favors Mayweather. If an old coked out Whitaker can make Trinidad miss, I'm sure a focused Mayweather could. Whitaker's problem was he decided to fight flat-footed for some reason. That plus he was at the end of his career.
Though I must admit, Mayweather has been a bit flat footed himself as of late.
The Oscar comparison isn't even valid anyway since Oscar throws more punches and hits hard enough to deter Tito.
Mayweather can't deal with offensively gifted fighters. He can only deal with limited slow offensive fighters like Baldomir.
Tito would be his worst nightmare, but like I said, he knows that which is why the fight would never happen.
Deigo Corrales was nothing but an offensive fighter, ditto Gatti, Hatton and wait for it.......one of the most physically gifted offensive fighters of the last 20 years----> SSM....whose best OFFENSIVE weapon just happens to be his LEFT HOOK.
.....and unlike Tito, SSM doesn't need to plant his feet to throw the left. This won't be a popular opinion but i doubt Tito would even land more than 5 to 6 meaningful shots with the left hook. Oscar smothered it, so can Floyd. Tito needs to plant to get leverage......Tito is not even close to Floyd's worst nightmare. His left hook can be neutralised with superior boxing skill + ability. The issue for Floyd is the size and strength which he has shown time and time again he can deal with. Tito's chance comes if Floyd lays on the ropes------> he won't!!!!
Floyd UD, close but clear. 7 rds to 5 or 8 to 4. Tito takes rd 1 and 2 for sure.
