Morales outdid Marquez in his own style, when he fought Pacquiao the first time(before he was shot).

a faded Barrera came very close to beating much more near-prime Marquez.

and its like people forget that Marquez lost to Norwood and Chris John. They just write them off as 'oh those were robberies', when in fact they were both close fights that Marquez very well may have really lost.
He certainly struggled with them, thats for sure.

I really like Marquez and his style too, but the guy just is NOT better than Morales and Barrera. maybe, just maybe you could make a case for Marquez>Barrera, but no possible way is he better than Morales.

Barrera and Morales will never look as good at LW than Marquez has[he's 3(2)-0 at LW]. I also think Marquez would look way better against the Raheem Morales fought, he'd do way better against Junior Jones than Barrera did, and neither Morales or Barrera would go the distance with Mayweather at WW. Marquez is plain out better.
Morales got a clear win over Pacquiao even turning southpaw in the final round for the fans. Morales was beating pacquiao in the second fight until his legs gave out. Morales was clearly past prime for the pac and raheem fights.

Marquez is naturally bigger than Morales and Barrera, he started of at a higher weight class than them so his run at LW still makes him just a 3 division champ like Morales and Barrera.

What win does JMM have as good as Barreras win over Hamed or Morales' win over Pacquiao. JMM only went 12 rounds with Mayweather, because Floyd wanted to. It was a sparring session where Mayweather could of KOed him anytime after the second round.

Also whose defeated more world champions JMM or Morales and Barrera ? Why did JMM fight bums for most of the 90s if he is plain out better?

          MAB > PISS DRINKER.

The Piss Drinker's ATG status relies on the Pacquiao fights he claims to have won but officially lost.

Note that Erik Morales doesn't need to do that. Why? Because Morales so clearly and obviously won his fight with Pacquiao that the judges, even if they wanted to, couldn't take the win away from him.

Anyway, Piss Drinker is a cry baby. So are his fans.

most people overrating JMM because of the 2 very close fights against Manny. if Manny wasnt as good as he is now nobody would even talk about him being one of the best mexican boxer. i dont hate JMM, i like the guy but Barrera in his prime was way better than JMM. Barrera was shot, old, had been to a lot of wars specially against Morales 3 times and Pacquiao 2 times when he faced JMM. he fought a prime JMM but many people thought Barrera won the fight. it could have gone either way.

i hate barrera, but i respect the **** out of his skills, i love JMM, he is like my 3rd fave boxer ever.......

if JMM hadnt done his **** more recently, everyone would say Barrera....and if we go by resume, Barrera is clearly superior.....

wins over McKinney, Morales 2x, Hamed are better than JMM's entire resume....

that said, i had JMM winning both Pac fights, so considering that, i have them even....

honestly, again i love JMM, but his outboxing ability is overrated......JMM is a gifted counterpuncher, and pretty much a precision gun whenever he throws, but the dude is slow on his feet and his stance leaves him wide open to punches down the middle and jabs.....thats why barrera gave him hell with his jab, getting off first, and footwork (barrera was a considerable bit more faded than Marquez)

like i said, i hate barrera, but seriously, the fact that boxing fans act as if JMM is way better just because his accomplishments are more recent, baffles me...(and the fact that they eat HBO commentary.....not because Jim Lampley says JMM is a great outboxer, means he really is....if anything, id say JMM is a midrange fighter....)

and really using Pacquiao as a measuring stick is all kinds of ******ed...
