So Pacquaio fights Marquez for the lineal title, who was ranked #1, instead of Valero (a prospect) and Guzman and that is considered ducking/cherry picking? Damn the level of ******ity on these forums continues to amaze me.

Who has Manny avoided...Valero was barely coming up and couldnt even get licensed anywhere but Texas..raheem? lol what with 1 win vs morales..no..guzman had he continued his path up..yeah i can see that..but even guzman hasnt fought anybody ****..

come on guys..the list is still Mayweather ducked 5..Pac 2..
Come on man, we're not tryin' to hear that shit. You do know that Soto was an option for Pacquiao, right after Guzman dominated Soto. Arum was close to making that happen. So I ask, why not Guzman? Also, Zahir Raheem badly outclassed Erik Morales, so why shouldn't he have been an option? Your making a lot of excuses man.

Was Raheem not campaigning at 135? Wasn't Pac hanging out at 130? So Pac is supposed to move up a weight class because Morales lost?

Same with Manny. People say manny ducked zahir raheem. The truth is morales fight was signed and everythind was worked out ahead of time. Manny fighting zahir made no business sense whatsoever. Duck, coward, cherry pick, etc etc are terms used by posters that fail to grasp the economic realities of the boxing business.

Bottom line, floyd and manny , when they were with top rank, were matched against opponents by bob goodman who was just inducted into the HOF. Before manny got there Murad Muhammad made him look bad by not matching him smartly. After floyd left he made millions more than BOb said he would.

Ducking, cherry picking, etc have nothing to do with it.
wow just close the thread; this is dead right. I agree 100%

I was never fond of Pacquiao vs. Valero, unless you think I'm talkin' about that, which I'm not.

One, I'm not saying he was "suppose to". I'm saying that I would have liked to see it, especially since Pacquiao hasn't faced that kind of style.
