A marquee fighter like Mayweather or Pac cannot be accused of ducking someone like Paul Williams. Yes it would be a great accomplishment to beat him, but he brings little to the table and is so much taller than both of them. If I was guiding either of their careers it would never be a fight I'd suggest.

Mayweather ducked Margarito, Cotto, and possibly Pacquiao right not (who knows what the hell is happening there). Up until recently Mayweather really did fight a high level of competition.

Pacquiao ducked Raheem, Campbell, maybe Guzman, is currently ducking Marquez (no good excuse not to complete the trilogy, way better fight than Marg), and possibly Mayweather right now.

Raheem,Campbell and Guzman were no where near the top of any division..im talking about big names..big fights that we the public and the boxing world called for..

Williams was campaigning at 147 for a few straight years when he wanted Mayweather..May didnt want anything to do with that plan..or fighting Rito or Cotto..or Shane until this year..

Who has Manny avoided...Valero was barely coming up and couldnt even get licensed anywhere but Texas..raheem? lol what with 1 win vs morales..no..guzman had he continued his path up..yeah i can see that..but even guzman hasnt fought anybody ****..

come on guys..the list is still Mayweather ducked 5..Pac 2..

I agree with the ts completely, that's what I've been saying all along!!Both Manny & Floyd have strategically fought guys that give them just enough credibility while casually avoiding all the really dangerous fighters!!

For example, right now Manny is gonna fight Margarito instead of the Punisher or Martinez for a 154lb title!!When Floyd came out of retirement he fought Marquez in a welterweight fight & didn't even bother to make weight to do it!!To me welterweight is the weakest it has been in some time & guess who are the 2 fighters on top??

I was really excited when Manny stormed on the scene, but the more he fights, the more I see the stradegy he's using is the same as Floyd's,the most reward with the least amount of danger, that's what stardom has done to them, made em suspect!!

lol that doesnt even compare homie..

How is Floyd ducking OTHER top Welterweights during his ERA compare to Manny competing with the top 130 guys and skip to 140..he never campaigned at 135 except for 1 tuneup vs Diaz to land the DLH fight at 145..and hes been fighting over 140 since..

                  come on dude..no comparison whatsoever!

pacquaio would've fought valero at 135 since that was supposed to be his next fight before Oscar was being a ***** and ducked margarito and thought that bringing up a guy who only had once fight above 130 to fight at 147. That is nowhere near ducking.

Ok...Pac ducked an up and comer while he was the man @ 130...and a guy who regularly fights at 160. I'm fine with that.
