Hopkins losses all come to fast boxers and Pascal is no different.
Pascal has stamina issues, he looks tired through-out his fights. I don't know if he has asthma or he just doesn't pace himself right or what. But he looks tired while he is fighting.

However, as he's stated, he may simply come down to money. Dawson can't even attract fans in his own home state. There's a reason why Dawson, the man at 175 at the time, had to go into Pascal's backyard. Hopkins has also shown interest in Bute and I imagine it's for the same reason.
I don't subscribe to the notion that just because some of the top fighters in the world don't have a fan base is the reason why other boxers don't want to fight them. In Chad and Hopkins case, Dawson was the champ and still is the best lt. hvyweight out there and Hopkins is a legend. Fight fans will come out to see that fight, it will generate more than the casual fans interest. More people in America would tune in to a Chad/Hopkins than a Hopkins/Pascal fight.

Even though I have the utmost respect for Hopkins, he is picking and choosing who he wants to fight and at this stage of his career and at his age he has all the rights to do so.

He wasn't really thinking of a fighter with a fanbase when he fought Ornelas, was he?

GO AWAY, Hopkins! He should only be fighting D-level Boxers for checks. He's already a future HOF. At this point in his career, he has nothing else to prove. He can still enhance his legacy and resume by fighting the other Top fighters in his division, but at the same time he doesn't have to embarrass himself.

Hopkins will take Pascals soul. He will be damaged good after and get stopped by Dawson as a result.

Look at the jokers. The man is a45 years old and is fighitng the recognied light heavyweight champion, what Dawson did was cherry pick but he ended up getting dominated and clowned on.

This seems a bit of a ***** move to me, dont want to fight a fast southpaw like Dawson who is technically good, has a nice jab, but i will fight a guy who caught Dawson on an off night, a guy who is not really on Dawson's level, much less Hopkins's, now i know Pascal won fair and square, but i think most of us can agree Dawson did not turn up, that a rematch would most prolly look at a lot! different.

If Pascal takes this fight(which I think he will)he will lose and B-HOP will be the LW king again and won't fight Chad.He will beat Cloud and retire(I hope)The only guy at 175lbs I see beating B-HOP is Chad.

Hopkins said he would wait for the dust to settle. It did settle and Pascal emerged the LHW champ. Also if that lethargic sissified Dawson with no inside game, and a lack of sack showed up against Hopkins it would have been an easy win for him too, like that Tarver fight was.

I agree with you bout a rematch, but not the ***** move statement..B-HOP is a living legend he could fight who he wants.Nothing really more to prove for B-HOP rather these young guys have to prove something by beating the living legend no??
