lol at those who think Klitschko beats a prime Holyfield. Lennox Lewis had a tough time with Evander in their second fight - but Wlad is going to walk through him? Any of you see Evander dismantle one of the greatest big men ever in Rid**** Bowe?

This thread is ridiculous. The votes are ****** and I feel dumber for entering and posting three or four times.

Shavers was a cruiser bum beater, that is all. He lost in his prime to a fighter with a losing record, come on. Sanders would kill Shavers. Sanders hands and chin vs. Shavers, no contest, Shavers goes home from an early KO. This Shavers atg nonsense has got to stop. the guy was a mid level fighter. Yes, Ali robbed him, but that doesnt make him great. Yes, he beat Ken Norton in the 80's when he was way passed his prime...but thats it.

Heres how the "golden age" of heavyweights worked. Ali=the greatest. He struggled with Shavers, so Shavers was great. He struggled with Young, so Young was great. Shavers beats Young, so Shavers is very great. Doesnt matter if young weighed under 200 lbs and was 7-3 at the time. Shavers beats him so he is very great. When in all honesty, Ali just struggled a lot with mid level fighters.
knn, didn't they ban your ***** ass? why stay where you're not wanted?

Ali who has probably the geatest chin in HW history and great power, just not up to par with three of the hardest hitting HWs in history who fought in his time in Liston, Foreman, and Shavers. Yeah right.Ali would put shot and move with easejabbing at an immobile Haseem Rahman, and Sander (who knocked him otu regardless) is a lot different from jabbing at Ali who is P4P probebly the fastest boxer in history.

Also if you think Wlad would beat Larry Holmes then you need help.
Possible. Also possible that Ali could have hell with Wlad's longer, heavier jab. I would favor Wlad over Ali.

And Holmes was not mentioned in the article. I said, "out of that list".

And while I think Holmes could beat Wlad...again, the size is a huge factor man. Wlad is fookin' massive and pretty athletic.

Hell no. If anything, Vitali would have been dangerous to anyone in history, including Ali. But Wlad would get knocked out by most of them.

And why is Lyle in there and not Lewis?

Maybe because Lewis would have cleaned the Ukrainian chandeliers clock in under two rounds perhaps?

Ali was shot when he fought Shavers though. People seem to convienently forget that ALi was not considered the greatest, until he came back without his supernatural speed and reflexes, and dominated the division 10 years later with his brain, technical abbilities and heart showing the world that he was the greatest HW in history since he not only has all the god given tools you can only be born with, but also one of the best boxing brains, chin , heart, stamina, will, and technique too.

This isn't a knock on Wlad who I like very much and think would beat many ofthe greats, but not ALi or Holmes, not a chance if you ask me, thats all.

Wlad would lose to all those fighters.

His boring european robotic style would not stand a chance.

Wlad is three inches taller than Ali, and two inches taller than Holmes, but he has shorter reach then both. Reach would not be an issue at all for either, Ali and Holmes had long arms and reach.

Also Holems probably has the best jab in HW history. You can't out jab a jabber.

Like I said people look at the old Ali from the 70s, who was mor eor less shot, and still dominating ATG heavyweights, and say oh he was hittable. He had much slower legs then and couldn't dance. You think the younger ALi wou would almost never lose a round would pull a rope a dope on Foreman? Hell no he would make the 15 rounds look like the first round of the fight, his workrate accuracy, and precision were also second to none. Almost all of Ali's opponents would be cut against him.
