“They stopped taking blood 18 days before [Mayweather-Mosley], so that shows that they can do it and be fine,” Arum would tell Lance Pugmire of the LA Times, explaining why he believes 14 days should be sufficient to satisfy Mayweather’s demands. “We’re saying the same thing, that if there’s information that emerges in the final 14 days, we can go to the [state boxing] commission and ask for more tests. We can work it out. No one’s looking to pull any fast ones.”

Pacquiao didn't want to submit to blood tests too close to a fight, his camp said. Pacquiao budged on the issue during these talks, moving from a 24-day cutoff of blood testing to 14 days. But all along the Mayweather camp has been silent.

July 15 - http://fighthype.com/pages/content7987.htmlIt should be noted that despite the fact that Mayweather has insisted on random blood testing up until the day of the fight, Pacquiao has only agreed to a 14-day cutoff for random blood testing.
Good read thanx Dazed...But Pac said he did not want to do testing so close to the fight.I thought May agreed to 14 days before?I hate this,it's so confusing why can't they just fight there is enough money in the pot to take a test or scrap the test..But once again ego ego ego's

he already provided an answer for that...he doesn't want his experience in the morales fight to happen again. now if you think he's just making an excuse then that's your problem because you can't get over it.

Manny wasn't fighting Shane and you know this. That said Manny could've difused this before anything happened. Besides, telling floyd that wouldn't in any way have hurt the credibility of the clottey fight.

Floyd could have end it alot sooner as well by just signing the contract and getting in the ring..

I think any reasonable person knows Pac got outboxed by Morales that night and the blood thing is an excuse. Besides, the blood test situation in the Morales fight is completely different than OST. Besides, Morales (as would floyd) was subjected to the same tests. A simple, NO and the story has no legs.

It works both ways. Floyd isn't asking to weight drain a fighter, he isn't asking for a paper title, he isn't asking for a catchweight. He's asking for better testing and is willing to do the same. This should not have been an issue. It should've been resolved as quickly as the weight penalty of $10m was resolved.

Who else but a juicer cares about when he'll be tested?

What makes you think that? Manny is and never was afraid of Shane and the fight with Cotto was Arums call in an attempt to keep Miguel from signing with GBP.
