When Pacman and Marquez fought, Pacman was a one handed boxer. We are all wittnesses to Manny's big improvement. During the preparation for the Oscar Delia Hoya fight, Freddie Roach introduced to Manny a new level of training and that is the "power of using both hands in a fight". Since then Manny Pacquiao became a complete fighter. We all saw Manny's capabilities of destroying the so called "bigger fighters". Oscar himself confessed that Manny did'nt hurt him during the fight and his face was totally reconfigured. Can you imagine what would happen to Oskie's face if the Pacman hurt him? Anyway it sent him to retrement. JMM and Juan Diaz fought to a decision few weeks ago and maybe you all noticed how JMM was gasping for breathe in the 10th and 11th round. JMM is 38 years old and you will let him fight Pacquiao? It will be a big mistake and suicidal to let that fight happen. In as much as people wanting to see the Pacman shutting up JMM's mouth, it will be a big tragedy in the history of boxing. I am not expecting JMM finishing the fight on his feet, hopefully not coming out of the ring in a stretcher.

i say we look at things different..2 say marquez has no business at welterweight is dumb he only had one fight nd it was against floyd mayweather a defensive master who has embarrass other welterweights we didnt even get 2 really see wat marquez is made of cuz of tha mayweather defense but i do think he needs to prove himself at welterweight and either way i think hes old too bt who knows cuz we havent seen him really in action at welter bt i will say i think pac at this point will be a tough challenge bt i think we juss gta see marquez in action at welter then we can make a judgement

You said Cotto wasn't like Mosley in the Floyd fight, that's because Floyd is stronger than Manny. Floyd is strong enough to take you completely out of a fight. If Floyd fought Cotto that night, Cotto would have been takin out of the fight far more cleaner and quicker, more decisively.

Floyd doesn't nor will he ever have power behind his punches. IF he wasn't as accurate a shot then he'd be in a worse position. But sure if you want to believe that Floyd is really as strong as you can say, he just was having an off night when he took Marquez which is good but of all the WW's out there, Mosley, Cotto and hell even Clottey would've mowed down Marquez and made sure he would either die in the ring or get ko'd before the end of the fight.

But if you want to look at it the other way as well, Floyd is more known for his fragile hands than he is his overall punching power. He's accurate and no one is denying that. If your claim about Pac is "DLH even said it didn't hurt" yea sure, that's why he just let up half way into the fight. In my world that's like saying "hey guys I'm not tired and this **** doesn't hurt but I'll give up anyways"...really now? Oh and this is the same man who said "those gloves of Pac, they felt like Vargas and Mosley". And honestly YOU MUST BE ON CRACK IN THE FIRST PLACE TO TAKE SOMETHING THAT OSCAR SAYS AT FACE VALUE AND ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT **** TOO! Sorry but using DLH as your "support for your argument" is as pathetic and weak as it goes! But hey if you need to you can say that Ellerbe mentioned to the press that "Oscar never said those words and that's a fact" and I won't blame you lol!

Marquez is linked forever to Pacquiao through their 2 great fights

Marquez shouldn't have to prove his worth at WW, because he has already arguably beaten Pacquiao twice, hence he deserves a third fight

these are just excuses not to put Marquez in the ring again with Pacquiao

as far as marquez losing to floyd i don't see the big deal in that everyone floyd has fought has lost to him,if marquez were to fight any other ww it will not be as one sided as the floyd fight and marquez is a better technicall boxer than everyone at ww except floyd

Hatton was a massive mark from the start. Hatton put up the fight of his life against Floyd, against Manny he was a stiff. An ineffective one at that. If Floyd would have fought Miguel instead of Manny that night, I think it's obvious it would have been a cleaner job. Just based on styles alone. Manny can be hit. Floyd can't be hit. Especially that version of Miguel.

Manny couldn't do it against Marquez either, lol so what are you saying? Plus when a fighter adds as much weight as Marquez did for that fight with Floyd it makes them that much more durable/able to take more punishment.

There's a difference between strength and punching power. One punch KO power isn't defined by how strong you are. Floyd over all is stronger than Manny.

i do understand the weight difference but marquez can box and gives pac a lot of problems.thats why pac will not get in the ring with mayweather because floyd will box and light his ass up.pac has a pattern of fighting slow come forward walking punching bags.marquez won't be like that.

Because it makes for exciting fights and Pacquiao's style is the attraction. Why not have him against the best style possible? Seems like smart business if you ask me.
