I don't hate the guy, but there is too much love out there for someone like him, that's all the thread starter was saying. But you are right, people can change, and we should recognize that Mike has changed. I am still not going to feel sorry for him like some people do though (except for the death of his daughter, that I do feel sorry for him about). He brought everything else that happened to him on himself, he is not the type of guy I would feel comfortable around my family, let's just put it that way.Comment

I agree Tyson has really only himself to blame. he is not a ****** man by any stretch but I think now he looks back and is genuinely remorseful.I personally find it sickening how this convicted rapist and thug is treated like some sort of tragic figure,he's human and we all have our faults but what he did and how people feel sorry for him annoys me like hell.this lunatic was a rapist a wife beater and a complete thug and still still treat him like a victim. He and all his supporters blame everything on everyone else except when it came time to tyson getting exposed and beaten badly in japan, then they will say it was tysons fault just so they can discredit douglas credit for his win.
Tysons nuthuggers will call holyfield a religious hypocrite when tyson is an even worse hypocrite and a rapist.they will call lennox lewis a coward who waited for tyson to get old when it was tyson who ducked him several years earlier.I just dont know why people still even support this rapist must be down to some nostalgia or something, when the fell into the well marketed tyson hype
What irked me was he went to jail after 'miss black America' accused him of **** and came out a Nation of Islam white hating boxer under Don King. How ****ed up is that! And is shows you what America's prison system is like too.
It's important we remember he has paid the ultimate price though: the death of his little girl. I think Tyson deserves peace in his life now - no human being should suffer the death of their child.Last edited by Rosseboi; 08-18-2010, 12:51 PM.Comment

no man, not what I am saying. Dont get it twistedSo what you are saying that if a girl comes up with you to your room the expectation is that she always wants to sex with you? Is she allowed to change her mind in the middle of it, or can you proceed to do whatever you want just because she came up to the room with you?
This is a typical excuse that rapists use - "By wearing that dress she was asking for it". The fact that he didn't break into her house or kidnap her doesn't mean it's not ****, most ****s occur between acquantences and friends of the victim or their family.
I stand by the statement that you have a sick and ****ed up understanding of the world and of how to treat women. Just cause you gave me a green K, doesn't change that.
of course any woman/lady/girl has her right to change her mind about sex at any point, but many guys will sit there and try to convice them into having sex still, some guys (not me) will take it too far and end up raping them.
(I should know, my cousin did this to a friend of mine)
Courts look at **** cases diff along with all other offenses like kidnap, breaking an entry and physical abuse etc... all this adding more time to their sentence
How much time do you think a rapist should get?
Someone like in Tysons situation.
I know how to treat women, I have been married 10 yrs, if I didnt know how to treat a lady I wouldnt be married. Not to mention most of my friends are femalesComment

I feel bad for Tyson because it seems he has so many issuses mentally and he grew up in a bad enviroment. And the right people in his life died too soon and he split from his original team. And its sad when he says he never had a "real friend" aside from Cus becuase most people were only his friend because of his money. Ok, he lost a fight, but he never really reached his full potential. He was really an awesome fighter in the late 80's.
And I'ma always have a soft spot for Iron Mike because he got me into the sport I love.Last edited by CaRnAgEViOLaToR; 08-18-2010, 12:55 PM.Comment

You're a moron if you think Douglas exposed him. Tyson obviously wasn't into that fight. Every show made on it goes that rout, no one says he was exposed except for haters on boxing forums. And just because he was convicted for ****, doesn't mean he absolutely did it. What was that ***** doing at 2AM going to his motel room? You are obviously not a very bright poster. Go cry to your Mommy because we don't want to hear it.I personally find it sickening how this convicted rapist and thug is treated like some sort of tragic figure,he's human and we all have our faults but what he did and how people feel sorry for him annoys me like hell.this lunatic was a rapist a wife beater and a complete thug and still still treat him like a victim. He and all his supporters blame everything on everyone else except when it came time to tyson getting exposed and beaten badly in japan, then they will say it was tysons fault just so they can discredit douglas credit for his win.

Do your research and I don't mean watch a damn fictitious Hollywood film. Rubin Carter is guilty of those murders. It makes me sick that people hold him up to such high regard. In 1966, Rubin "Hurricane" Carter was arrested for multiple homicides in the Lafayette Bar and Grill in Paterson, New Jersey. He and another man, John Artis, were tried twice and convicted for the murders.
Everyone who's arrested and convicted of a crime is guilty, right?

I think 3 years was about right for a case like Mike's. If it was a kidnap type of stituation, then 20 to life is more appropriate because then that person is an active predator.no man, not what I am saying. Dont get it twisted

Your first post was worded in a ****ed manner, where you said, "who cares what happened to her, she is not related to you", which implied you didn't give a **** about **** if it's not someone in your family. Sounds now like it's not what you meant.
Look, we don't know for 100% whether it happened like she said or not, juries do make mistakes. But given everything about Tyson, his history with violence and ****ed up mental state, it's not hard to believe her. Tyson had no moral compunction against beating up 70-year old dudes after a traffic incident, or beating on his wife, or biting a guy's ear off, or talking about raping reporters on camera, what makes you think he is morally or psychologically incapable of ****? A man can only be judged by his actions, we can't look into his soul.
Regardless, the jury believed her, and he had a high-priced team of lawyers trying to get him off, not some underpaid schlub of a PD.Comment

Yep, they watch one Hollywood movie slanted towards a certain viewpoint and they think that's the truth. Carter was a murderer. So was Tookie Williams, no one cares that he drew a couple of children's books, he killed an entire family in cold blood, his son is in prison for murder as well (apple doesn't fall far from the tree).
I suspect Hollywood makes these out to be some sort of martyrs because it sells, much better story that someone is wrongly accused, then the truth.Comment
