fact is Chad had the fight in the bag and in that next 12th round had he dropped Pascal he could have tied up or taken over the fight but he wasn't given that chance, it's a win that looks very ugly for Pascal, leaves a VERY bitter feeling so I understand Chad, nobody wants to lose that way for the 1st time..

then it's like how can you be classy through it? with all the emotions he feels of disappointment and competitiveness of course he's going to be mad, this is a man who believed he was the best and is now forced to believe different and it's all due to a damn foul, not to mention Pascal was mainly on the defense the whole entire night even in moments where he didn't have to he settled with a quick late burst to get the crowd going and mid round spurts that looked good but punch for punch not every punch landed..

overall I feel for Chad because I feel like even with a cut that bad if he wanted to put it all on the line in this 1 fight he should have gotten that chance, fighter safety is always the most important thing no doubt but for Chad it couldn't get any bigger than the situation that night in the ring, his whole career was for fights like that so he should have been able to keep going..

Gatti had worse, Marciano had worse and even Valero had a monster gash on his forehead man it's been done before, they should have let him continue imo because it wasn't like he was losing and out on his ffet he was actually about to win by aTKO at that rate and that chance was just snatched out of his hands..
Could he have gotten a stoppage? maybe, but your are talking as if the fight had started in the 11th round when Dawson realized he was in a fight. Head clashes happen and its not the doctors fault he let so many winnable rounds go by not letting his hands go.

As a Dawson fan, I have to say he dropped the ball and didn't perform to the level that I know he can until the fight was nearly over and his only chance to win was a ko. This should have been easy on paper for him and he should have outclassed Pascal.

I don't see what merit he has at all in his complaint about Pascal running because he of all ppl knows that ideally in boxing you want to land as many clean effective punches while having as few landed on you.

Besides, he wasn't exactly standing toe to toe with Johnson in his previous fight, so he shouldn't be complaining about other fighters "running".

      Dawson is a sore loser.
He ran against Johnson too so that makes him a "chicken" also.

dawson needs to quit makin excuses and stuff. he says pascal ran like a chicken all night, but dawson should quit choking his chicken so much during training camp and show some heart.

Dawson came forward against Tarver twice and Johnson twice except in the first Johnson fight Glen was about to hit him and hurt him more. Chad Dawson is an aggressive fighter, he was aggressive with Pascal too. don't get me wrong it isn't reckless aggression he just knows how to pinpoint his combination punches, he was doing that very well against Pascal in that 11th round..

I feel like a lot of the rounds that people gave to Pascal was due to crowd reactions to his shots too, people hear the roar and even though it's because he's the hometown fighter it still affects scoring when the whole building crumbles because you landed a shot. I saw in a few instances throughout the fight that Pascal would hit Chad's elbows and gloves but since they were so rapid and 1 or 2 landed and then the crowd blew up it makes it seem much better than what it was but watch the bout on mute and you'll see what I mean..

I feel like Chad did what he had to do, he fought at his pace and honestly some of those Pascal rounds were close too, scores like 101-108 are horrible, there is no way the fight was THAT wide man that was awful. Chad has a very good reason to be mad when you think about it. everybody wrote off Pascal as easy work and honestly up until fight night I also thought Chad would win (I had a last minute change of heart and even though my heart was with Dawson my money was on Pascal), given how it went down though I can see how Chad is mad because he was the #1 guy and he didn't get a chance to fight his heart out to keep that spot. I think if the shoes was reversed Pascal would be pissed too right now..

The scores were too wide, I agree with that but they didn't have to be.

You think Chad gave it his absolute best effort?

I don't, I know I have seen him look more active and sharper than that.

He defense for some reason was not up to his usual standard either.

What ? This is boxing, stop making up excuses, have some respect for the man who beat you and if you think that you can beat him in a rematch, STFU and go back to the gym. Personally, i think that Pascal will beat him in a rematch, that 11 round was coming from a panic attack from his corner, they told Dawson that he needed those 2 last rounds. I have seen all the fights of Pascal and i don't think that Dawson is "Bad" enough to KO Pascal. Dawson doesn't like wars for a good reason, he's not at his best in those wars...

We (Canadian) killed more German than the American during the WW2.

                In resumé; Canada > USA

                I did it right? Right?

I think his lack of offense was due to habits, he kept not punching when moving back and/or bobbing and weaving all night, he would move and show superb ability to avoid inside and hard shots but he didn't punch back which if you think about it that was always Chad, he would bring himself into the safe zone before returning fire to his opponents whether that meant grabbing or moving..

ultimately though I didn't see that fight and think to myself anything was wrong, I feel like Pascal is hard work for anyone and he was actually an equal champion too. Dawson was right for approaching the fight how he did because Pascal is one tough cookie, Dawson wore him down though and in the championship rounds was looking for a finish but was cut short from that chance..

I think he gave it his all, that's just how he fights and it's a good way to, such a good way that even though my money was on Pascal entering the fight I'd bet you even more money that Dawson would have finished him off in the 12th due to that way of fighting. Pascal was spent man, it was heart and sheer will to win pulling him threw those shots, he was truthfully VERY lucky to have had that fight stopped, as tough as he is and as much as I like him I have to admit Dawson had him whenever he wanted him except the ref stopped him before he could take it..

I can't wait for the rematch..

to be honest i have dawson beating the breaks off of pascal in the rematch. it's sorta dawsons own fault though. chad should have known not to fight like a come forward pressure guy (he is not cloud) he should have known to assert himself early (he's in canada for goodness sakes) even if dawson won 7 clear rounds he still would have lost if it went to the cards. it's dawsons trainer fault to. not one time did his trainer tell him to fight with some urgency. all he kept saying was "just stay calm, he's fighting like a dead man" WTH is that!!!? is his trainer out of his rat mind?

as far as pascal. i just can't see this as a win for him because he looked like he was ready to go. the win came off of a cut. a fight ending that way leaves a bitter taste.

                    they need a immediate rematch.
