Some fighters throw fights, and have friends bet on the fight so they can make alot of money off it.

I'm sure it happens at some level.

But I can't imagine it happens often at the elite level. There's much more money to be had by winning and earning more big fights than to try and cash in on a loss.

          Very few fights are fixed.

From what I've seen, 1 out of the 3 judges and the sanctioning body rankings are usually paid off.

At the upper level there is no way a fighter would throw a fight. There is way to much at stake if they can pull out a win.

Now when it comes to promoters paying off officials to sway the fight in their direction, well, we all know that happens... Home court is no bigger in any other sport than boxing.

With the judges that statistic might be true, it might even be higher.
