I'm pretty sure it happens a lot with prospects. Promoters gotta protect their future stars. One fight that comes to mind is the Ortiz vs. Maidana fight. Ortiz clearly said no mas to the ref but they still had a doctor stop it to save face.

according to compubox 211 out of 837 fights were fixed and out of those fixed fights the winner 100% of the time was affiliated with golden boy.

it's still happening, ALL the time. in boxing, always beware of in-house fights with champions and cash cows....and of course, always question boxing promoters (that's just by default).

Judges get paid, fighters get paid, promoters get paid off..etc.

case in point ---- Did Devon really beat Kotelnik 116-112? Of course he did, because Don King was involved??

I am about 90% convinced SSM/Mayorga was fixed, that ko looked so scripted to me...........especially after up until then it was basically a sparring match.

me i think Pac-Clottey was fixed

Look how good clottey looked against cotto. he gave cotto all he could handle and busted him up good.

then you look at pac-clottey it looked like he never threw one punch. like he never tried. i dunno thats just me

                yep.

If someone wanted to make an argument for a fixed fight....Pac-Clottey is not a terrible choice.
