Dude, you had tobe drunk...no offense. Dawson did nothing (I lost 300K on him too, so don't start on me being a Pascal fan). Dawson did nothing and when he did, he could have killed Pascal in 1 rd. He just stood there and let Pascal recover..either a payoff, a drug induced performance (Chad looked slower than I have ever seen him), or he doesn't really have it. One of my favorite boxers is Adamek and chad found a way to beat him, so I know he could have beaten Pascal...something was way off tonight.

Pascal was the clear winner. Chad did not do enough work in many of those rounds. Chad had a great 11th round but it was too little too late scenario. He needed a KO to have won that fight.
Without even scoring the fight, .... all you needed to do was look in both corners after the fight and you knew who won. Pascal and his corner were celebrating before, during and after the scores were announced. Chad's corner looked defeated.
Easy to score this one.Comment

Yes, Pascal has no ability to fight going backward. He could only rush forward and throw flurries of arm punches (still pretty hard shots, just not properly thrown). He looked a little amateurish, to be honest. Incredibly, this style of fighting had Dawson befuddled for long stretches of the bout. Dawson is not a smart fighter, and not a guy who can change his game plan midstream.
Yeah, Chad was holding on for dear life there. I never got the idea he was close to getting stopped, but he was clearly hurt and holding on tight until he felt he was recovered. Referees should do more to penalize holding (which is illegal), but of course they almost never do.3. Chad got hurt badly somewhere around the mid-late rounds (he nearly picked up Pascal by the legs). Impressive how Dawson actually went forward after taking some time off.
Again, I agree. That was expected though. What would have been shocking, were it not so well known how incompetent HBO's announcers are, was how the announcers acted the exact same way. When Dawson landed a nice punch, they said nothing. If Pascal whiffed on an arm punch, they would get very excited. Amateur hour...5. The crowd was silent with Dawson's combinations. Pascal would lay on the ropes and eat that straight left through combination punching and...nothing from the crowd.
Yeah, that one punch noticeably stunned Pascal. He ate other heavy punches that round, but showed no real effect from them. It looked more like it was heading for a "TKO - EXHAUSTION" than a KO, lol6. Dawson had a huge round 11. Pascal was on the verge of being stopped on the ropes with the way he was teetering and buckling.
7. Afterwards, did anybody catch that super accurate freezing left uppercut of Dawson? LITERALLY stopped Pascal for a second or two.[/B]

That sounds like a really terrible way to score a fight, about as bad as listening to the announcers or the crowd reactions.
One reason Pascal was so delirious with joy when the fight was stopped was because he was getting beaten like a heavy bag in the 11th round. He was too tired to even throw punches, and he must of known it was touch and go as to whether he could survive to the final bell. Having a headbutt suddenly stop the fight, which was clearly slipping away from him as he absorbed a one sided beating, must have been like manna from heaven.Comment
