It was so extreme that Martinez could've gotten sued until Pavlik let the rematch clause time frame pass by. He couldn't even talk about any other fights besides a Pavlik rematch.Comment

Yes it was a testy situation and i actually expected Pavlik to take the rematch, VERY suprised that he didntComment

Because, just like Pacquiao, all of our spanish speaking friends are looking for a hero. Blacks have been dominating for too long. I became a fan of Martinez in the PWill fight but PWill is my man and I think he's gonna win this rematch.Comment

Can't wait for this ****. I lean towards Maravilla on this one. Can't count Williams out though but I see Sergio pulling out a victory so we can have a trilogy.Comment

LOL...this is ultimate spin. Martinez was contracted to Pavlik for a rematch. Pavlik bailed so he called out Williams. Williams has been the one stalling and posturing in the negotiations. Glad hes finally succumb to public demand for this fight. It was Williams who tried to make the Martinez bout first. He wanted it after the first bout and when Martinez fought Pavlik. He stated before the bout that he wanted the winner, showed up at the fight and called out Martinez immediately after. Martinez was talking about a rematch with Pavlik and even Margarito but, ultimately, he had to turn to Williams. And Williams, after being snubbed, tried to get a big money fight but he also knew he wasn't in the running and it appears we're going to get the rematch we wanted. I don't see how Williams needs vindication in the first place.Comment
