Comments Thread For: Source: Sergio Martinez-Paul Williams is Close To Done

According to a source with knowledge of the negotiations, a deal for a rematch between WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (45-2-2, 24KOs) and Paul Williams (39-1, 27 KOs) "is basically done, but it's not signed yet." Williams won a close majority decision over Martinez last December in a "fight of the year" contender. HBO has been pushing for the rematch to take place. [Click Here To Read More]

that hyped bum gave Martinez a long run for his money.

        P. Will may box in a sloppy manner, but he makes up for it w/ his physical advantages & tenacity

        gtfoh bro.

Their first fight was so close, a rematch is the right thing to settle the issue.

And people thought Paul Williams was scared to rematch Martinez. I hope now people can stop questioning Paul Williams.

This would be a great fight again, much better than watching Angulo getting totally schooled by Martinez.
