Shaw is a huge slime ball, I wouldn't be surprised if it played out just the way I think it did and Shaw is using Angulo as a scapegoat.

After Shaw found out HBO was pissed it's time to play the blame game.

I doubt Shaw or Angulo's manager would just throw him under the bus just like that, $750,000 is an insane amount of money for a fighter with just 20 fights so am sure his people would want the fight (Just because of the money), And even if they dont want the fight they wouldnt come out and try to make Angulo look like a stright up ducker.

I think that was a smart move by Perro he already has a loss to a guy not as skilled as Martinez i think he's playin it smart this could throw him back.

Who knows, maybe Angulo didn't want the fight, maybe he thinks he's worth that much but it wasn't a good idea to piss-off HBO.

Yeah but if Angulo is making $350k against Acline and is constantly on HBO against pretty soft comp. He might be thinking that he doesn't need $750k against the toughest fight in 2 weight divisions, why would Shaw and his managers throw him under the bus like that anyways? Perro was staying at Shaw's house for the Julio fight I think, even if this was all true don't you think these guys would cover for him or just say he ain't ready?

All of a sudden Perro who seems like a humble dude becomes Floyd Mayweather and doesn't listen to his promoter or manager, he just goes rouge? Sounds like HBO was pissed about this and heads were going to be chopped, easier to leave Perry high and dry then have this hanging over the negotiations that are about to happen for Alexander vs Bradley.

Just my theory, I might watch too many Oliver Stone movies.

HBO is going to teach el perro a lesson, u take a hard stand with HBO they turn around and make u eat the scraps from showtime. El Perro better hope Gary Shaw allows him to sleep on his couch b/c HBO may not have the money and space for him to fight again this year. Samething with Paul Williams, Oct 2nd was suppose to be for him but now be fighting Kermit Cintron on Showtime the next generation or Friday night fights

This guy can think!! What is happening with the heart of HBO's fighters. To me this is all HBO's fought they've got themselves is a pickle. It seems all HBO fighters don't want to fight the other HBO fighters.
                  HBO needs some new leadership

Paul Williams= Doesn't want to face Martinez for the Lineal Middleweight Championship

Amir Khan= Probably won't fight Alexander/Bradley/Maidana this year

                  Alfredo Angulo= Won't fight at a catchweight with Martinez b/c he can't get a 1mil

Kelly Pavlik= Won't have anything to do with Martinez after the beating

                  Yuriorkis Gamboa=Wont fight Celestino Cabarello

Juan Ma Lopez=Wont fight Celestino Cabrello

Chad Dawson=Doesn't want to fight Tavoris Cloud anytime in the near future

                    Perro vs angel

El Perro should go after Cotto. This would be a hell of a fight. Martinez kicks Angulos *ss easily.
