    right, with Jones it was both a matter of moving down so much weight, and age second.

    few fighters stay great into their mid/late 30s. JMM is an example. He's been through wars, gotten knocked down, and still stays competitive at close to his natural weight.

    Floyd is def getting older, his reflexes are nowhere near what they were, he's shown a bit of flat-footedness, and who knows if he has 4 spectacular fights left in him. Let's face it, he's nearing his limit like everyone else eventually does.

    He's always had pain in his hands and it ain't getting any better.

        look throughout his career tho. hes always been like this. but i dont like it either. he should be fighting at LEAST 3 times a year imo. inactivity KILLED hoya in the long run.

            but same as manny. when he fights in november its gonna be 8 months. if floyd fights in november its 6 months

                Floyd is not interested in boxing right now, we may see him interested again if there is a high reward low risk opponent available again and that could happen in year 2012.

                  True. Floyd has the fundamental base and intelligence to stop himself taking too much punishment, even when his reflexes, speed, and legs go.

                  Not that he will ever beat a guy like Manny without legs though.

                      That's assuming floyd isn't training and hes always training. He probably fights once a month in the gym. And he has no bad habits with regards to his health.
