Floyd already lost to Castillo and his legacy is a joke.
Hope he stays retired and/or ends up getting ripped off by King.
Its what he deserves for ripping off the public for all these years.Comment

That's an excellent point. And the first thought in my mind every time I've watched Mayweather-Mosley. And I've watched that quite a bit. Mayweather is already slowing. He was slowing before he retired. And I think he looked far better on his feet against Marquez than he did versus Shane. Another layoff can only hurt him. Truthfully, Floyd has two more tough training camps in him IMO. Like Jones, he's been fighting since he could walk and the years are beginning to catch up.No one can predict when old age will come.
Floyd is 33 year old. By the time he fights next, he'll probably be pushing 34. On top of that, if he signs a four fight contract, at this pace he'll be fighting at the very least till he's 37-38 years old.
Remember Superman? He was unbeatable, never legitimately lost. Until he hit 34. They say reflexes is the first thing to go for a fighter. Floyd relies heavily on his cat-like reflexes.

Floyd took off two years during his prime and probably another year now. That's 3 years of wasted time & talent. Instead of building his legacy & making money, it went down the toilet. One day he may look back and regret all the inactivity.Comment

I see a Hopkins like decline in Floyd later on maybe a bit faster since Hopkins doesn't rely on reflexes, fast hands and feet to win as much his defense is different to Floyds etc but they both have great fundementals if Floyd fights at this pace he'll lose eventually to someone he doesn't deserve to lose to like a Jermain Taylor character.Comment

I understand that and I'm not saying Floyd is Roy Jones. But I think my point about Floyd getting older is legit, since it's a fact! He is getting older. Who's to say his reflexes, speed, etc. don't start to deminish at 34, 35 years old? You can't be in your prime forever.
I'm not saying he will get old in a year or two, all I'm saying is it's dangerous game to be playing. He could be fighting the top guys (Pacquiao) NOW rather than later. It's a gamble imo and not the smartest one to make.
I agree that it can happen. And it will at some point.Comment

I know what you mean. But it did seem like Jones slipped very fast after the Ruiz fight.Comment

Seriously
Ask Shane Mosley
Brah... he was 34 against Ruiz and 34 against Tarver
..........20lbs south.
You should look at the comparison pictures.
