If Marquez can hit you, you are going to have along night.

I only question Marquez's power at 140, and if he can't hurt Devon, he may be looking at getting outworked.

I think Marquez might have a counter punchers dream fight in this one, but it still may not be enough at 37 years old to keep up with the work rate.

Make no mistake, though.. Marquez has big moments in this fight with huge clean shots that snap Devons head back.

I think at the end of the fight, though... you will see Devon as the clearly more active fighter, probably wins on activity.

And again, this is NOT JMM's weight class.. anything over 135 for JMM I don't take too seriously.

Marquez should stay at lightweight or retire.

Devon might be too big for JMM at 140lbs, however I think JMM can take him to school based on that poor performance against Kotelnik, he got hit waaaaay too much and never moves his damn head, I'm a huge fan of my boy D but he looked terrible on Saturday.

At a catchweight of around 137 (which Devon can make, he's built as f**k but he is a small guy) I'd give Marquez a shot, but I think Devon's jab and movement would be too much for him. That's really all he'd need to outpoint JMM at this point because of his age. Just look at how much success Diaz's movement and jab had. Now imagine someone with a great jab from the southpaw stance, along with decent movement.

              Although I'll say this.

              What beats speed?

              Timing.

Kotelnik proved it, and JMM is levels above Kotelnik as a technician.

If I HAD to bet it would be on Alexander, but the age difference would be the biggest determining factor for me, because overall Marquez is a much better boxer. Just at 140lbs, I don't think he can be as effective.

That's fine, but he is still going to be fighting a naturally bigger man, and his punches will not have the same effect.

                That's the entire problem.

I still believe Marquez has alot more power than Kotelnik. Even at 135.

Marquez doesn't have his signature timing above 135.
