marquez is too old and slow now. He will have a field day whenever he throws, but he is easy to hit too these days, and would lose a UD based on workrate alone.

based on the fact that he's a natural SFW, based on that he was arguably losing his fights against Casamayor and Diaz prior to the KO's. Based on the fact that there is NO evidence whatsoever that he's effective above 135 and yes, based on the Mayweather fight where it showed that speed is what will give a naturally smaller fighter who gained weight problems.

            That's the entire problem.

yeah JMM weighed 142 vs Floyd.

at 140 he can choose to weigh in at 135. That's 7 lbs different to his fight at Welter, that's a lot.

What does that have to do with Marquez still fighting a naturally bigger man?

Whether he weighs 135 or 140, Devon will still be the naturally bigger man, with a higher workrate..

Marquez can't fight north of 135 pounds.

Yes but Devon is not what I call a huge LWW. Marquez can out time Devon, regardless how big he is at LWW.

They are both listed as the same height 170.

Devon has a 4inch reach advantage. There isn't a huge difference.

Alexander isn't a big 140 pounder, but Marquez isn't even a big lightweight.

I find it funny how some of you guys are writing Alexander off after one bad performance. The same people that are bigging Khan up are the ones that make me laugh the most. Wasn't Khan the one that got blown away in under a minute by a nobody?
