devon is still a good fighter and will do well in the 140 division but hes not ring clever,he cant think his way around a fight,he done the same **** all night long even though he landed all his punches on kotlenik gloves,he needs to learn and move on from this or give kotelnik a rematch, right now bradley schools him,too clever for him at the moment
I agree 100%
It was like Devin had no answer once he realized dude was there to win...Devon fell into a pattern of just throwing the 1-2 (right then left) for like 4 rounds straight...Crazyness!!!
Oh well, he got the "W". That really seems to be all that matters to some people. Me, the thing that matters to me, and that bothers me about the fight. Is the fact that, I am sick of judges telling me that I don't know what the **** i'm looking at...Like I don't know when someone has lost or not. Been putting up with it for years, really getting tired of it..
Before the cut happened, he was getting hit with the same shots prior to the cut as he did with the cut. Kotelnik's right hand was almost landing at ease throughout the whole fight.
could that have been why he struggled late in the fight??cause before the cut he was sharp and look extremly quick
In my professional (sarcasm) experience....no it diddn't. He was doing the same work, jab-jab-left, before the cut, and was actually pumping up his workrate AFTER the cut. The man threw 1000+ punches. He was getting caught with right hooks and straight rights from Kotelnik, so his vision technically wasn't affected, getting hit on the right side of his face. Kotelnik was doing what he needed to do though, keep jabbing at the cut.
Devon's workrate was his undoing though, he cramped up in the 12th, and had to stand and fight, which is what his corner DID NOT want him to do.
He wasn't landing **** before the cut, the cut may have been a factor but the frustration he must have felt at not being able to land a good punch and 1-2 finding the mark at will was probably a more significant factor.
