Yes, but many times it takes a near loss and for you to get outboxed on the big stage for you to step your game up and excell. A great example of this is Manny Pacquiao after losing in most peoples opinion to Marquez. Another is Khan who doesn't come in trying to **** anymore after getting stopped quick.

Alexander is 22, and age where most fighters are no where near contender status. he has the speed, reflexes, and tools to correct his errors, since he did move his head a few times in the fight, and looked damn good doing it. He just needs to spend a few months on putting it all together like Manny and Amir did and have two fights against Maidana/ Kotelnik type opponents and show that he has fixed, or improved his problems.
