Outboxing Juan Diaz, doesn't tell me much... other than he can outbox Juan Diaz.
He's outboxed Manny Pacquiao two times, and outboxed a still good Barerra. Those guys can box.

He is too small to fight over 140 pounds and would lose to all those guys except maidana and Urango. He might be able to stop Khan, but he will lose based on his sisze more than anything else.

Going 12 with Marquez or stopping him is worthy of some recognition.

I want to see Khan fight Maidana too. I think he can stop him. Maidana doesn't have a great chin himself and had trouble with Ortiz and Cayo before the KO's. But if Khan gets caught by anything big it could be all over.
      Agreed........

      I don't think he's a hype job.

I think he realistically has some very good skills, good speed and decent pop.

I DO want to see him vs a top 5 Jr WW though.

Bradley, Devon, Maidana, Ortiz, before we make him out to be more than he is, though.

2008 and 2007 . He still has better boxing skills, and is more technical, but he is past it, and is hittable, but if he can hit you back then he still gets it done.

            That's the entire problem.

He turns 37 in two weeks and is going to fight two-three weight classes north of his prime.

            Anything over 135, I can't take seriously.

If you beat JMM at 135 though, even now... that's still very admirable.

            Just not at 140.

I'm sorry guys but Marquez only beat Juan Diaz. Some people get too carried away.

Khan is just trying to find what ever spin to sell this fight like it is the right path to take. Marquez is the most recognizable name and the bigger payday. Also being past his best prime and natural size is why they are so interested to get in the ring with him.

Marquez might even take the fight cause this might be his last big payday and another spot in the limelight that he has coveted for years and finally has some of it during these past years.

Marquez has enough ability to beat Khan but I would favor the odds on Khan at this point of each fighter careers

I agree. That why I only think he can beat Maidana and Urango, at 140. Amir Khan is a possibility since he goes on shaky legs when he feels a breeze.

                    He'd probably whoop Judah, too..
