He's also underrated, when people make him out to be a hypejob.

People look at Bradley's boxing skills and they end their observation there.

It's his intangibles that make Bradley an incredibly tough fighter to deal with.

Where he may lack in overall boxing skills (not that they're bad), he makes up for in his bodily strength, stamina, endurance, and confidence in himself.

It's his intangibles, to me, that seperate him..

He may not necessarily be a better overall fighter.

The biggest difference is the age and weight discrepancy.

JMM would be about two weight classes removed from his best and 37 years old.

Meanwhile someone like Bradley may not necessarily have equal boxing skills, but his strength, stamina, and youth more than make up for it.

Not too mention he is a NATURAL 140lber.

I don't even think JMM is a natural 135lber, he didn't even come in at the limit vs. Diaz.

Agreed. I don't think JMM would beat Bradley H2H.

But that isn't because Marquez isn't a better fighter... he's just 37 and two weight classes north of his prime.

            It's actually very close.

            2005 126lb Marquez > 140lb Bradley.

            2010? 140lbs? It's not so wide anymore.
Marquez has looked good at 135, and went the distance with Mayweather at 147. I agree that at 140 Bradley is probably a better fighter than Marquez, but not by a long shot. And considering Khan will make maybe 2 to 3 times as much as much money fighting Marquez than he would Bradley it seems a wise choice to make.

Both fighters win. Khan gets to fight a legend of the sport who is still relatively dangerous which will increase his marketability in the states. And Marquez gets to make some decent retirement money, while fighting for a fourth divisional world title. I see just as much value in this fight, as a Khan and Bradley matchup which wouldn't even settle who is the undisputed champion at 140. However after this fight, I want to see Khan fight Bradley or Maidana. Alexander doesn't warrant a fight at this moment in time.

              Right, agreed.

I'm not making it out to be a HUGE difference, either.

Just as long as Khan and his supporters realize that's what it is.

A money fight, and that's all.

He isn't beating the best at 140, and therefore isn't proving he's the best there by fighting JMM.

Marquesz is better than any 140 pounder and any WW not named Mayweather or Pacquiao (at this point ). However, he is small for 135 pounds, and can not compete above that weight limit.

He's better technically as a boxer, but not as an overall fighter IMO, mostly all due to being 37 years old now...

Outboxing Juan Diaz, doesn't tell me much... other than he can outbox Juan Diaz.

Exactly. he isn't fighting the best at his weight and isn't proving anything at 140. But if he fights and beats Marquez he still deserves some credit. Anybody with above average power has the ability to KO Khan. Let alone someone as skilled as Marquez. Khan has been hurt against much smaller fighters and smaller punchers in the past. Going 12 with Marquez or stopping him is worthy of some recognition.

I want to see Khan fight Maidana too. I think he can stop him. Maidana doesn't have a great chin himself and had trouble with Ortiz and Cayo before the KO's. But if Khan gets caught by anything big it could be all over.

Khan is a hype job who will get exposed by the first puncher at 140 he fights.
