I said that last night, and just said it in the post after yours...dude has to learn how to fight on the inside at some point. Not every fighter will be at a range that is in his comfort zone.

Devon is very fast, has excellent stamina and conditioning, throws high volumes of shots, is mentally tough, and he takes a great punch. Those physical gifts, combined with his obvious grit and heart, mask the fact that he isn't particularly bright and is a completely non-cerebral fighter.

He might be able to stick to a better gameplan in a rematch and look better, or Kotelnik might continue where he left off and beat him even easier next time. One thing I am certain of, though, is that either way, Alexander won't ever look good against Kotelnik. He should just move on.

I still think that Alexander taking the majority of the early rounds is what did not allow Kotelnik to win the fight, but after watching it again I scored it 6 rounds a piece and did not see a clear winner. Alexanders late flurries seemed to have swayed scoring.

That said I have to give it up to Kotelnik. Alexander has fought a few good fighters, and I have never seen him look bothered let alone be in a fight where his opponent could have been given a win.

In addition ALL fighters have bad fights, and Kotelniks style gave Alexander fits that a lot of other fighters will not. This fight reminded me a lot of Dawson vs Johnson one, with the faster more mobile fighter electing to trade, and moving back rather than circling in the process taking more shots than they should have.

I think an immediate rematch is in order here, and Don King should set up that fight now.

to late for that bully the bradley fight already in the works. the youngin got holes in his game that wont be fix by january. he gone lose his titles to bradley which will be good experience for him. the youngin was never ready for bradely now he in a position where he got to fight(well Devon still wants the fight as seen from last night)

let me start making bets now before ppl jump off the devon wagon completely

Alexander's speed and high punch output were his "smoke and mirrors" to the judges. This is a case of the busier fighter getting the nod from the judges. Th fight was much closer than the judge's final score cards. Alexander is an excellent fighter but he needs to work on his defense. Can't believe how susceptible he was to Koltelnik's jabs and straight rights.

            Bring on the rematch!!

                Again, bad comparison.
Why, did you not see Khan against Willy Limond, where he could have easily lost the fight. Quite a few of Khans fights have shown him to have a very weak chin to say the least.

this is no excuse but i have to let yall know this. devon got sick last night. this whole week they had him at all events here since the day he got home from training and he didn't get any good rest. now with that being said im not going to ignore the fact that kotelnik wanted to win this fight cause that lil dude was doing his thang, and he puttin on my bro. i feel that they should have a rematch so he can redeem himself and leave no doubts. i know a lot of hatters were having a field day and was hoping he lose, but that wasn't the same devon last night, i knew something was wrong with him after the 4th round because before he never gets winded in fights and last night he looked very weak. he even threw up after the post fight press. now this is the truth and i don't care if don't believe me but i still got my bets on that he is going to beat bradley

You know when someone starts a post with "this is no excuse", they're about to write a plethora of lame ass excuses.
