Alexander-Kotelnik is comparable to Pacquiao-Clottey.

the styles were comparable but the fights were so different.

Pacquiao - Clottey was totally one sided in favor of Pacquiao. Pacquiao threw, threw and threw some more. Clottey was more than happy for the shots to hit of his gloves and sometimes Pacquiao would land especially to the body. Clottey barely even attempted to throw most of the fight.

Alexander - Kotelnik was a clear win for Kotelnik imo. Devon outworked him in most of the rounds but most of his shots touched Kotelniks gloves while Kotelnik's shots were clean and very effective plus he came forward and controlled the pace of the fight. Kotelnik also threw far more than shots than Clottey.

People are going to argue Kotelnik was more active than Clottey against Pacquiao, but again he was the more inactive fighter. I had the fight 7-5 for Alexander.

On a side note, did anyone notice how strangely Alexander was acting in the post fight interview? Was he always like that? I don't remember him rolling his eyes or slurring his speech to that extent before, maybe he was just dead tired.
Are you saying that you thought clottely won against pacquiao?

I could actually see a Mayweather-Pacquaio fight turning out like the Kotelnik-devon fight, Difference is if Pacquiao gets the decision the same people who scored the fight to Alexander by a wider margin would cry foul that Mayweather was robbed..

The pacquiao fight was very different. Kotelnik landed the cleaner better shots and also landed more of them, obviously landing on the gloves gets scored in boxing these days if you throw enough of them.

I wouldn't go as far as to say Kotelnik was robbed but it certainly wasn't a 116-112 UD, I would not have given that fight to Alexander.

It was as much Frazier-Ali as it was Pac-Clottey.

Thread fail, Pac not only out-worked Clottey but also shut him down completely. Kotelnik was not shut down by alexander, devon used his workrate to escape pressure from kotelnik but kotelnik looked like the one in control of the fight.
