    Who is the next superstar?

    A very good article

Warning: the author made a statement that might piss of Mayweather fans.

Haven't read the article yet, but I think Amir Khan is being set up as the 'next big thing'. GBP is tracking his career along the same path as the one Top Rank mapped out for Oscar when he came onto the scene. Fight past their prime but name brand/marquee names (Julio Cesar Chavez, Pernell Whitaker, Hector Camacho, etc for Oscar) and build your name and resume that way. Khan already took out a completely done Barrera and now he's targeting the 37 year old featherweight/lightweight (barely) Marquez at 140. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he took on Erik Morales too.

Once he's gotten through those guys, he'll take on an old, shot Pacquiao or Mayweather in a massive PPV fight (when they're like 36ish) and get the win and establish himself as the cash cow of boxing.

The guy is only 23 years old, has all of the UK behind him and is taking the 'Golden Boy' approach to stardom. He may not be the best fighter out there, but he will be the most famous and bankable.

hopefully it's Devon or Ortiz. or both. Looks like WW will still be the most marketable division for years to come.

I agree with you here man, the guy has a massive following already at a young age, hes just breaking into the USA scene and he has an exciting style, plus the question mark over his chin means people will always be interested in watching him fight.

Id say in 5 years time or so Khan will be a massive name in boxing.

I don't think there are enough credible lightweights in the world to keep this guy fighting.

I bet even if he goes WW, he'll be fighting fringe contenders, blown up lightweights, and non punchers.

The kid has sick hand speed, good accuracy, and all the makings of a great fighter.......except a chin. His mandible is held together with chewing gum.
