I still just don't see De la Hoya beating PBF based on PBF being a better boxer, smarter and more athletic. That would always give De la Hoya problems.
Part time fighter oscar stole enough rounds from Floyd in 2007 to convince me that the 1997-2000 version wouldve beaten him either UD or SD.

Ridiculous jab, lightning fast hands, controlled aggression. Imagine if Delahoya had the focus of a young Mike Tyson. The discipline and conditioning of Pac and Floyd.

Man, Oscar was inches away from top 5 atg status.

That fight wasn't even close. The most rounds you GIVE De la Hoya was 4. De la Hoya will always have problems with someone who is a better boxer than he is and PBF is exactly that.

He had everything going for him skillwise in his prime. a prime DLH beats Floyd, Pacquiao, and the current crop of WWs today no problem. You guys just watch his once a year fights and forget who this fighter was in his true prime. DLHs left hook would have had Pacquiao in deep **** come prime for prime. Same with everyone esle.
you read my mind, theres no doubt about it, people in here watch his recent fights and say dlh was overrated, give me a ***en break.

Mayweather got so lucky. A 35 year old DLH ALMOST beat him. A 38 year old Mosley almost took him out in two.

You cant tell me after watching Mayweather-DLH that say a 25-30 year old Oscar wouldnt have won. A 10 years younger Mosley might have to.

Ruined in 1 fight i doubt that he was only 24, and Chavez was on a 7 fight win streak including wins over Meldrick Taylor and Frankie Randall.

You're honestly giving ODLH credit for the ODLH fight?

              Disgusting.

The current state of the welterweight landscape would have been dominated by a prime Oscar,Mosley,or Trinidad!!

This is BS. Mayweather was in cruise control the whole time against Oscar, he didn't have to step his game up yet still won comfortably.

Floyd took Mosley's best shot, got rocked, then came back to dominate the remainder of the fight.

In no way shape or form was Mayweather "lucky" in those fights, he's just that good.

                    LOL @ the Oscar haters.

10 time world champion in 6 divisions.

Lost to ONLY HOF/ATG type of fighters. Didn't cherry pick himself to only one style or went on vacation instead of fighting in boxing's biggest fight.

                      A fighter that's ruined doesn't come back and win a championship .

                      Mosley ruined Vargas, not Tito.

It's funny that you give Floyd credit for beating an Old Mosley but not DLH for beating Chavez. Double Standards.
