the contract he originally signed with arum GUARANTEED him a MINIMUM of $21 million. plus he got a sizeable bonus.

don't know how smart pacquiao is , he isn't very well educated but that was a good deal at the time.
Yes it was a good deal at the time. Now he's in a position where he doesn't need Arum.

I can't get specific numbers in terms of how much money they make for ppv and gate numbers but look at things like this.

He's in a situation where him fighting an opponent can get close to 1 million ppv buys.

Then there's the gate numbers. Buy having Arum's fighters on his undercard, he's giving Arum free publicity for future products which will make Arum more money in the future when they become a house hold name.

There's the money made through advertising products at Pacquiao fights, comericals and what not.

All together Pacquiao is generating well over $50 million a fight. Arum at this stage is providing him short of that figure.

Which is why I say Arum is providing him with less than what he makes.

who do you want to handle him?

            his filipino cronies? koncz?

tell me again how good his promotional company is handling his fighters.

bob arum has been doing this for 4-5 decades.

he wouldn't last this long if he didn't know what he was doing.

pacquiao is not getting robbed. pacquiao is making good money.

i don't know why this is such an issue with everyone.

pacquiao is making lots of money. arum is making lots of money.

            that's how these things work.

everyone thinks boxers should make all the money and promoters not make any money at all.

newsflash promoters do more than the boxers. all the boxers do is train for a couple months and fights.

pacquiao is guaranteed a certain amount every fight. when a fight flops he still gets paid. guess who's stuck with losing money. take a wild guess.

              no ****.

you telling me a fighter doesn't get all of the money a fight generates?

              you don't say.

those damn cable companies , cable networks , satellite companies , promoters , other fighters , fight sites......

why do they get paid for?

              those criminals.

about half of the revenue a card generates goes to the cable companies , satellite companies , etc.

common sense. if they didn't get paid , they wouldn't carry it on their channels.

Tua's 110% right on everything so far.

I did some more research, everything I come across mentions Arum takes his 27%.

I don't think it's that far off to be honest.

That money has to cover all the costs of the entire promotion plus profit...

i don't understand why they care so much how much pacquiao makes or how big arum's cut is.

pacquiao is rich. pacquiao is getting paid. who cares?

let's worry about the small time boxers who barely make enough to live on.

                      Right.

Like Guerrero who owes over a million dollars to the hospital for his wife's marrow transplant.
