so if arum got him back for 27% wth was golden boy offering 30%?

    doubtful.

i doubt pacquiao would sign for something higher than top rank's standard percentage.

unless maybe he worked out a deal for higher guarantees.

    i can see that.

give arum , a bigger percentage but arum has to bump up his guarantees for every fight.

    who knows?

    these contracts are complicated.

there's a reason why when reporters report fighter's income it's usually just a range estimate instead of something specific.

    Fair enough.....

It wouldnt shock me if he wanted to get away from Arum. Especially if he one days feels that Arum is the reason Pac didnt cash in his career high payday vs. Floyd. Its possible.

Hell Floyd already looks to be headed that way with all the latest news regarding him Haymon, King and GBP.

Cotto also looks to be going down that road. Its only so long fighters will let a Promoters personal beef get in the way of monster paydays.

You can't just leave. It's a partner ship. Remember he set his signature on the last page. Watch how many Danish fighters got destroyed (Mads Larsen, Rudy Markussen ect.) with their deals with Mogens Palle.

arum is not the reason pacquiao-mayweather didn't get made.

it's not arum's fault pacquiao didn't want to take blood testing.

it's not arum's fault mayweather is on vacation.

no matter who pacquiao fights , arum makes money.

all arum cares about is making the most money possible.

          pacquiao-mayweather is the most money.

Case in point .... Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum
            Terrible analogy.

If Pacquiao refused to fight Margarito... Arum couldn't do anything about it.

Manny has to SIGN to fight Margarito.

            In a boss-employee relationship.

I tell you what to do or I fire you.

            Not the same here.

Manny HIRED Top rank as HIS promoter.

All the contract stipulates is that his fights HAVE to be promoted by Top Rank and Top Rank takes a 27% cut. He can't have other promoters.

Everything outside of that is ultimately up to Manny.

the only thing i've ever seen that says pac is giving arum 27% was when floyd said it about pac.

27% is higher than top ranks standard cut for its fighters. i think it's usually 18-22%.

you would think pac got a good deal since he returned golden boy's money and went back to top rank.
I read it a few different times on articles from here during the Hatton-Pac negotiations... Pac wanted a higher percentage from Hatton, apparently because he has to pay Arum his cut.

again, why deviate from the real issue. *****s should just lend floyd a pair so we wont be meddling w/ other fighter's contract. its the wrong way to solve it *****s.

Actually Pacquiao works for Bob Arum. It's like a player at a football or Basket Ball club.

If Pacquiao was sensible, he will have a buy out clause in his contract, or he could pay Arum compensation for leaving him. I think he came close to leaving Top Rank when he thought De La Hoya.

Arum needs Manny. Manny doesnt need him. You're right he should leave. He make alot more cash without Arums hands in the pot.
