he does. maybe when fans buy a ticket or a ppv they should have the option to say that they are buying it to see fighter A or fighter B and then they could do an exact split on the money with regards to who the fans want their money to go to.

I guess thats not too bad considering it was a fight nobody asked for.

These numbers are pretty good. I wasn't expecting much. I thought the least they would do is 250k-300k. It wasn't far off my prediction so I wouldn't call it a flop. It's alright for a fight that nobody really wanted to see. And keep in mind the 150-200k were probably hardcore Mexican boxing fans. So these numbers are alright, nothing special but nothing horrible.

              These numbers are actually horrible.

Hoya failed big time,he invest so much money in that card.

JMM DIAZ 1 was like 50 K less and that card was nothing special and this card was one of the best and Hoya didnt sell much more!

How is it possible that Marquez can go from 1 million PPV with a "boring runner" like Mayweather and only generate 200,000 against an all-action fighter in Diaz?

Wait. Is it possible that Mayweather was the star and the reason why the PPV sold so well? If so, that would mean that all the experts/haters on this site were wrong and we all know that *******s are never wrong!!!
Maybe because everybody knew JMM was going to win why pay for it.

JMM-Diaz 1 was televised on free on HBO it wasn't PPV so I don't know where exactly are you getting these numbers. Probably from your imagination just like you get the numbers for every Mayweather-Pacquiao debate.
