Paul Williams deserves respect. Hes not fighting tailor made fighters.

He's shown he's equally capable in all three divisions. I don't get why people are so damn afraid of Paul fighting Welterweights. If he can make the weight then the fight should happen.

Gatti fougt at 140, yet routinely walked around at 175. Same for Cotto.

    This is how boxing works.
Im not afraid of him fighting welterweights but I give top welterweights including both Pac and Floyd the pass when they see this ****ing guy who looks like the center for the LA Lakers and say "im not fighting that thing"!

Like I said if he just moved up he would have no problem getting fights and instead of just crying like a ***** all the time maybe we would see him fighting on a more consistant basis.

And Floyd didn't always get the fights he wanted.

        Cough cough Mosley cough cough

But yeah... I know what you're saying.

The difference was... Floyd was the best p4p fighter... and Oscar wanted the shot at beating him.

In this case as is now. Floyd is already the best fighter... Oscar wasn't...

So Floyd has nothing to gain.. where Oscar did.

I don't necessarily think you see anything.

All of those questions are completely relevant.

And since boxing is based on weight classes and not height classes.

          Your argument is void.

          Taller.... doesn't mean....... bigger.

He already has moved up and won all of his fights.

He tried to get a fight with Kelly Pavlik multiple times, but Pavlik was the one who always pulled out.

You can't use that excuse "he should move up" because he's already been there and done that. Now he's simply trying to fight the so called two best fighters in the world at 147 (not a catchweight) and he's being rebuffed and ducked.

The bottom line is that Pac and Mayweather aren't fighting young lions. They're both MILKING the system.

What are the odds we'll ever see May or Pac in against the following: Devon Alexander, Bradley, Khan, P Will, Angulo, Berto, etc...????

The odds are slim, none and a china man's chance. It ain't happening.

                It never has.

My friend is 3 inches taller than me.

He's no where near bigger than me.

The dude benches like 165... I don't give a **** if he's 3 inches taller than me.. I'd scoop him and toss him.

I agree with what you're saying but as a fan of the sport, this sickens me.

I remember when champions would still fight for world titles, keep the belt, pay the sanctioning fees, defend against all mandatories and all worthy challengers... some would do all of the above and still meet other great fighters at catchweights.

Nowadays the so called pound for pound kings are DIVAS.

If Sweetpea Whitaker were champion at 147, he'd fight Paul Williams and Martinez in back to back fights w/no problems. The same can be said for champs like Tito, Quartey, Julio Chavez, Vargas, Roy, Toney, etc...

Its also hardly a secret that Williams offered Martinez 2 fights that he turned down. Barely anyone spoke on it though.

Turn down 1: Immediate rematch and more money. Martinez chose Pavlik for less money and the belts. I wont kill him for it but Williams did want the fight.

Turn down 2: Goosen and Williams go at Martinez AFTER he beat Pavlik. Martinez is waiting for a Mayweather fight ever since Floyd said hes a possibility.

People on NSB act like that didnt happen.

Not to mention Pavlkik pulled out of 2 fights with Williams.
