He has ducked prime ,,,,he just ducked a PRIME Pacquiao, but low and behold he has a problem,,,hold the presses , Mayweather has a problem ! Headlines, Pacman is YOUNGER than Mayweather,, UT OH !!!!!!
Go back and read my list son and how dare you be a Manny fan and speak of PRIME. Does a Manny fan know that word? March 13th was everything Manny wanted it to be just OST stood between the fight happening and we all know who didnt wanna take the test. The same test good enough for kids all over the world but your dude was afraid to submit. I wonder why? I wonder why Arum has just came out and said PBF was never involved in the Nov.13th negotiations, hmmmmmmm. Manny is still avoiding Marquez do you in all your knowledge really think he wants any part of Floyd? Why not PWillz, Berto, Mosley, Bradley or Alexander? They all want him. Pac has always been younger than Marquez so what does that mean? He's still avoiding him.

Only ignorant historians because true fans will look at the condition of the fighters Manny was facing and when he faced them. It doesn't stack up next to even a Donald Curry or a Camacho or Rosario let lone any of the true greats. These guys went after unbeaten fighters or the other champions, anyone that threatened their throne while Manny's career is full of hype, greed, deception and a bunch of cleverly picked fighters well pass their primes. Most coming off vicious KO losses. History aint ******.Last edited by Sugar Q; 08-05-2010, 11:43 AM.

It's funny I was watching ESPN today and they were talking about how insignificant 600 homeruns are today because of PED usage. Manny falls under that category. Manny has no pride because a real champion wouldn't walk around with that cloud of guilt over his head or settle for paper belts. Back in the day champions would throw their belts in the garbage to stand for something but here you have greedy, cheating ass little Manny embracing a fight with a known cheater that has never did anything to be ranked at 154 let lone fight for a title. The travesty is you guys in here looking like idiots trying to justify it. That's some sad ****.

Theres so many names that i wont even bother to write them down. Pac takes risk while floyd takes semi retirements and fights obove 35 year olds.
Cotto was a good win I admit and it did require some risk so I don't take much away from that win but Manny did wait until Cotto was damaged before going in that's a fact and Cotto is a bravado fighter which played right into Manny's hands. Clottey was a very suspect fight. I personally expected Marquez to be tougher and definitely Mosley for PBF. Marquez is a tough fight for anyone especially coming off a long layoff. Floyd has tougher fighters in front of him right now than then in Martinez, PWillz, Bradley, Berto or Alexander. 3 of those guys are unbeaten champions so it's not like Floyd came back to a cakewalk.Last edited by Sugar Q; 08-05-2010, 12:08 PM.

Manny may be as explosive but Floyd maintains his speed throughout while Manny tends to get sloppy and slower as the fight goes on.
One can be really slow but can still hit a faster opponent via TIMING. On the other hand, having SPEED and QUICKNESS but without TIMING meant that he can hardly hit his opponents.
This is the case with Marquez. He is hardly slow but "slower" in comparison with Mayweather's and Pacquiao's speed BUT superior in his counter-punching skills.
Mayweather's reflexes, knowledge, footworks and angles made it extremely difficult for Marquez to counter and the coupled with the fact that he was "bloated" just to go up in weight made him utterly ***********al relatively with Mayweather's comfort weight.
Pacquiao on the other hand both have SPEED and QUICKNESS to complement with this TIMING. I see him as a counter-puncher also but mainly a VOLUME or FLUSH / COMBINATION FIGHTER that can overwhelm his opponents. Within the last 5 fights, he has grown into a relatively more complete fighter with the addition of his lead right hooks and nimble footworks that allow him to have the leverage in forcing combinations of various angles that are unpredictable.
And so with Marquez's assessment of both, I am not surprised. Marquez is obviously basing his reading from his previous fights with Pacquiao but obviously unimpressed that Pacquiao now has gotten better.
This I can understand his competitiveness to test that. And in that light alone, I would like to see them fight again just to "settle" this rivalry. Though on the other hand, I think it is useless for Pacquiao to fight him but being a pugilistic fan first, I would agree that I would like to see them fight again.
But on a 140 weight level or higher as Pacquiao seemingly acclimated now with this heavier weight. And in this light and reasoning alone, makes me think that Pacquiao can annihilate Marquez with his new strength and speed.
But for Pacquiao to go down at 135 or lower, Marquez could probably beat him. But that remains to be seen also in the light of the "new" and more polished Pacquiao.

Good Post!
..two thumbs up!

Floyd vs Marquez was a good day pay for Marquez. He made more money in that fight that probably in his entire career. It was not however a fair fight.
Out of all this mess I can see clearly who has the bigger balls: Pacman doesnt want to take the drug tests and always demanding catchweights to his advantage cotto, dela hoya, Floyd fighting a way smaller fighter, marquez, and an old past prime fighter, mosley, i pick Marquez for having the bigger balls fighting the best fighter of our generation floyd, and still giving advantages and still calling out pacman despite the fact the pacman seems to be in a different class now
