Because saying **** to get you name out there and reach the top is understandable they are doing it to be noticed, when you are already at the top you're just being a ****.
Why is it that ****iness is only accepted from sub-par fighters?

If you are ****y then lose, people dont care much. But if you talk **** and you keep on winning, People get jealous and start to dislike you. This has happened with alot of fighters. When they are the new thing and coming up through the ranks, People love them but when they have been dominating people want to see them lose.
An example of this is Chris Eubank, When he first won the title everyone was excited about him.
But as time went on, People couldnt wait for him to lose.Comment

I think people mis-interprit what "talking ****" is, People always say Floyd Mayweather talks **** but he is 41-0 and has always backed it up in the ring. And it's not "talking ****" if you can back it up".Comment

I disagree with this. There are just as many people who don't like Froch or Malignaggi because of their trash talk as there are people who don't like Mayweather for the same reason.
People accept and usually like trash talk if you back it up, if you don't or you go too far with it, people won't like you.Comment

Yeah but wins over Mosley or Hopkins dont make them the best fighters ever. Just think about how bold of a statement that is.
To put things in context, the Hopkins that Joe Calzaghe fought was the same Hopkins who lost twice to Jermain Taylor. Also the Mosley Mayweather beat was the same Mosley who got outboxed by Cotto and looked every bit his age against Mayorga.
These are very good wins and solid names to have on a fighters record. But, they are not wins that can lead to claims of greatest fighter of all time.
To just throw icing on the cake Zags has just retired right as when the super middleweight division is at its peak in talent. And, Mayweather is taking yet another hiatus from the sport instead of fight Manny Pacquiao and with a win over Pacquiao claims as the greatest fighter ever would be legitimate.Comment

Exactly. You can't evaluate someone's skill set by starting with, I like him or I hate him he talks too much.I disagree with this. There are just as many people who don't like Froch or Malignaggi because of their trash talk as there are people who don't like Mayweather for the same reason.

If you are still running thru your comp then what really changed. Theres always afighter that will be at your throat
Zags is older than these guys. When would it be fit for him to retire? I can appreciate a fighter that doesnt let the ring retire them. After 40 some odd fights its not out of the question is it?Yeah but wins over Mosley or Hopkins dont make them the best fighters ever. Just think about how bold of a statement that is.
