Why is it that ****iness is only accepted from sub-par fighters?

From my observations, any fighter that is worth a damn is crucified for saying " Im the best"(Ali,Mayweather, Calzaghe). While others who are just okay, mouth off and its accepted by the public (Malignaggi, Mayorga, Froch). Its not that I have some drawn out opinion about it but it confuses me. At times I think it is racial but then there's Zags. I finally came to the conclusion that it must something Im just overlooking. So Im lookin for some enlightenment from the wonderful world of BS. I mean boxingscene. LOL.

Because people like to see the ****y guy get knocked out. If you are ****y and good eventually you will rub people the wrong way and a large portion of people will root against you.

Good answer. Even though it has some underlying hate cuda. Ali was far from boring and ffought everyone. When a fight is boring to me I stop watching. Tell me, when was the last time you cut out on a fight that involved Mayweather or Calzaghe? Never! They couldnt be that boring when people will watch a whole 12 rounds just hoping and praying they lose. That being said, in your world human punching bags, smoking cigs onthe way to the ring and excuses equal exciting?

That is an adult answer. It should end all comments but hatred will fuel a few more responses.

****iness or confident behavior when exhibited by the extraordinary reminds the the mediocre and or below-average of their own inadequacies. Normal kats playing a boastful role doesn't bother them because 9 out of 10 it mirrors their behavior.
