Heavyweight contender Alexander Povetkin has been knocked out of the IBF's top ten rankings. Povetkin was the mandatory challenger to WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. As the article said, Povetkin should have fired Atlas immediately, he'll never get another shot at greatness. Bad move hiring him in the first place.Comment

Wladimir Klitschko...ruining careers in and outside of the ring lol
But I was completely against this fight in the first place. These lower level guys should fight eachother first before fighting the Klitschkos. Why are guys who have less than 30 fights on their resume even being mentioned with them? Guys like Ibragimov and Chagaev had the right idea fighting everyone else at the top first, but unfortunately Chagaev took the fight on short notice and neither him or Ibragimov had enough skill to beat Wlad anyways. But these newer guys have potential. They just need some experience.Comment

That's what happens when you don't enforce your mandatory status for 2+ years, you either want it, or you don't. He obviously didn't, so why not let others, who actually want to fight, take your place.Comment
