    negative,

he was the wbc lightweight champion promoted by top rank. there was talk about khan vs valero then pitalua & demarco happened. he even headlined a independent ppv card by golden boy.

savannah was asked about valero & said we are taking juan diaz in a different direction.

The belts do not really mean much, its more about opponents and he had beaten maybe 1 world class fighter, 2 contenders, and the rest just local journeyman.

Maybe he could have been something who knows but I never saw anything in him for any world class fighters especially one like JMM to be concerned about.

marquez almost got dropped by light hitting, unathletic, plodding, & physically inferior juan diaz. what wouldve happened if marquez got in the ring vs valero? did you see marquez face after the fight this past saturday?

if wild reckless one handed green pacquiao dropped absolute prime marquez, what woudl have happened vs valero who was much developed than pacquiao at that stage?

it ****ing hurts just thinking of what might have been boxing wise for valero.

It also hurts just looking at how some people are overrating him in death.

That is where we have derailed, he was in development but still very crude, and even though he looked the best he ever had in his last fight it still wasn't on the level needed to beat JMM. I think he would have been eating counters all night from JMM, and he would have had a punchers chance yes but nothing more.

This isn't club fighters in south America we are talking about here, he wouldn't have been able to maintain that ko% once he stepped up in comp against world class fighters.

he asked for a chunk of money greater than morales' guaranteed purse.. how is that not overpricing?
