Blobby has a good point.
Haye and Povetkin should just retire

Like I said, I give him a pass on Sasnowski.
Because Samuel Peter, Gomez, Arreola, Johnston trumps that one soft title defense.
How many "great" challanges are left out there for him?
If there is someone out there that can claim they're being ducked, and they're worthy, then lets hear it. T.Comment

Why don't you tell us about Haye not wanting to fight them because of TV rights again.
I saw you disappeared from that other thread after I replied.
You've got an answer for everything against the Klitschko's, they're fighting soft opponents (sasnowski), oh no....one soft opponent, they're the ones to blame for David Haye not manning up, oh and they need to retire for ducking each other.
Uh Huh.Comment

Its back to my old debate there should be a hw limit, there is no way guys like Haye and Povetkin can stand and trade with monsters like the klits,i say move the cw limit to 225 quickly it will become the best division in boxing. If they don't want to be the best at what they do or even seem to want to try then why should I or anyone even care about anything else they are doing in the sport?
Both should just go away and retire seeing as they are already semi retired as is.
I know boxing is a business but its also a sport and if neither wants to be champion then why be a pro athlete for anything other than $$$?
I don't know about you but I am not interested in seeing fighters just cash pay checks against softies. Haye should go be an actor or whatever he wants to really do and Povetkin though a less glamorous profession should just go back to Russia and farm turnips or whatever.
We need HW contenders who want to try and actually believe they can take the title from Wlad, so props to Sam Peter.Comment

Yep or maybe i was in another thread
TS says they should retire if they don't want to be the best i'm just pointing out the Klitschko's don't want to prove they are the best so by his logic they should retire too.

Well I'm not the thread starter, but main point is right. Particularly for Povetkin who's looking for a vacant title win rather than to fight the best heavyweight for the title.
As far the Klitschko needing to retire, if the Williams Sisters can co-exist in Tennis, then so can those. Now the sisters have played and beaten each other, but in boxing you don't play, you fight.Comment

Agreed.
For the antithesis of this at HW take a look at perhaps the two best prospects Kubrat Pulev and Robert Helenius and how fast they're being brought along.Comment

Vitali is doing a "bum of the month" tour. A good bye tour. Vitali knows he's not in his prime so he keeps active by boxing a bum every 3 months.
Ali boxed nobodies like Mildenberger or Blin just to stay active and fill football stadiums. Not much different.
Haye is a disgrace for the sport because he is highly inactive, doesn't care to get in the ring with the champ (Wlad, I am not even counting Vitali) and is simply hiding. The best for boxing would be if Haye and Povetkin retired on the spot and young, more hungry contenders would take over his WBA title/#1 mandatory position.Comment
